All good. Thanks for making good products. Do you guys do a sight glass kit for the digiboil 35L?
@KegLand4 жыл бұрын
@@StassBrewing Yes we are in the process of making a sight glass kit for these so it will be available soon and be compatible with the BrewZilla units too.

Nice one Stass. Looks like a good unit for anyone starting up their all grain journey. Cheers mate.

Great review. I'm thinking this could be part of the occasional double brew too, especially now I've ordered the smaller 35L Brewzilla. For the last 20 years I've only used a boiler with a perforated floor for sparging the wort, so the answer to (below) whether you can get good brews with only this is definitely yes :). It's just going to be so much easier now the temperature is set automatically for me, and the mashing will be more automated and (hopefully) more efficient now I'm getting the Brewzilla too.

Great stuff matey, looking at getting 2 of these 65L for HLT herms setup and boil kettle, already have an electric brewery controller so will wire in a switch for main controller takeover, saves me having to buy and install elements and I love the easy clean idea
@StassBrewing3 жыл бұрын
Nice, just make sure you bypass the controller if you're varying voltage.

I use one with my GF. Another plus is you can fit a hose to it, It's not one of those urn style taps.

Not sure mate. Can weigh it for you if you like. At a guess I'd say 8kg?

Thank you for the video, looks like a great way to heat strike water. Two questions: Can it be set to come on with a timer? Is there an insulated jacket, i.e. the brewzilla jacket, that would fit it nicely and speed things up even more?
@StassBrewing5 жыл бұрын
Cheers Sam. No auto on function and a timer might work but it defaults to 100C after powering off so probably not viable. As far as I can see, the 35L brewzilla jacket would fit no probs.

@@StassBrewing Lovely stuff, bought it, heats 19l to strike temp (76 deg c) in 31 minutes, great stuff. As far as i can see it remembers the last temp it was set to, i will update if it forgets it after a while. Well made unit, yet to do a brew as clearly its raining cats and dogs on my downtime and i can't boil the wort indoors. Fingers crossed for Monday! Brewzilla jacket fits great, temperature very accurate, tested with a thermapen, within 0.4 deg c. :)
@StassBrewing4 жыл бұрын
Interesting. Perhaps they have updated the design so it remembers the temp.

Excellent review Stass. I am really keen on one of these I would nt be able to make one for that price. So is the dead space at the bottom, part of the 35 liter capacity ? Its in no way a big deal, just wondering. That amount of water is spot on for my brewing needs. Yeah pretty cool. Cheers mate I might look into one here over the ditch. Awesome.
@StassBrewing5 жыл бұрын
Yeh mate, total capacity is 35L including 1.4L dead space. Markings only up to 30L as they don't want to encourage people BOILING 35L in it. You'll need to account for thermal expansion too. Full to the brim at 22C means overflow close to boiling.

@StassBrewing5 жыл бұрын
Now that is something that I haven't tested. Though to be fair, when I add strike water into my grainfather it is always within 1C of where I expect it. So either both devices are out to the same degree, or both are pretty on point.

Hot Liquor Tank. It's what breweries call the vessel they use to store hot water to be used specifically for brewing.

Thanks for paid advertisement. Has plenty of that on KZbin. Until Qualcomm proves and release, it's nothing more than marketing bullshit. And we know Qualcomm is full of bullshit over the years. And they are having bold claims about Snapdragon X over 4 years, yet nothing. In the meantime, when they (maybe) have something one can finally buy, Apple will have M4 Max in real products. With real, optimized software and years of experience doing this. Real artists ship. Steve Jobs.
