When things were at their very worst: 2 Suns, Cross in the sky, 2 comets will collide = don`t be afraid - repent, accept Lord`s Hand of Mercy. Scientists will say it was a global illusion. Beware - Jesus will never walk in flesh again. After WW3 - rise of the “ man of peace“ from the East = Antichrist - the most powerful, popular, charismatic and influential leader of all time. Many miracles will be attributed to him. He will imitate Jesus in every conceivable way. Don`t trust „pope“ Francis = the False Prophet - will seem to rise from the dead - will unite all Christian Churches and all Religions as one. One World Religion = the seat of the Antichrist. Benedict XVI is the last true pope - will be accused of a crime of which he is totally innocent. "Many events, including ecological upheavals, wars, the schism in My Church on Earth, the dictatorships in each of your nations - bound as one, at its very core - will all take place at the same time." "Arab uprising will spark global unrest - Italy will trigger fall out" The Book of Truth

I mean she hasn't really made a bad song. The first 2 albums just weren't that enjoyable for me. But all 3 Atlantic albums have been absolute bangers and it makes sense why the first two were on a small label. She really didn't get big till her 3rd album.
@Jovyamari3 жыл бұрын
@@SpeedVaultz this has nothing to do with what i said! they never needed a label for the quality of their music to be great . they don’t care about bangers they write and makes the songs from whatever they experience during that time! that’s why they got big because their music is raw and real not a whack ass formula for a hit . Also this would be their 3rd album coming in the fall .

@@Jovyamari I know, but the albums turned out great so who cares. It's just what label it happened to be on. They at least recognize true talent. Same with Lupe Fiasco. He got fucked raw by Atlantic but he made some damn good shit with them I think.

Also go to Discogs, she has 3 Atlantic albums. IDK why While We Wait is considered a "mixtape" by some places, cause it's really not, it's an album.

This song means so much to me. 10 months ago I lost my big brother to Covid and right around that time this song came out. The lyrics hit so close to home. Playing the music they loved. Eating their favorite food. Looking at old pictures to remember every single memory. My grief is nowhere near over. But everytime I hear this song I look up and say hi to my guardian angel and I tell him how much I miss him. Loss is such a terrible part of love. But if you never grieve that means you never loved. Thank you Kehlani. You really saved my life.

I'm so surprised! This is what we do in my parents' culture (Haitian). We set up a table/altar with a white sheet and candle, a glass of water and/or a cup of coffee, and a plate of the favorite meal of the person that passed. We sometimes also place fruits and other treats we knew they liked. Then we'll recite the Our Father, Hail Mary, and just talk to them like we used to. It's very emotional, but therapeutic. We also do this for our ancestors in general, but we use a much larger table and a lot more food which we then share with everyone afterwards so it doesn't go to waste. Edit: I know other cultures do something similar, but I didn't expect a popular US American artist to sing about it and make a video for it. Kehlani is truly wonderful!

Prior to listening to the song, I read the lyrics. From the start I thought the song will be full of soft, slow, sad melodies combined together as a heart break would feel. But once the music began, I felt something different. It's like missing someone in a new perspective; still within the same heart break, but just in a different angle. I thought about the people I have lost physically in this world and those I have emotionally detached myself from. We grieve different types of deaths in almost the same way. This song felt like a blissful remembrance of those we've lost and how somehow, they are always with us. Protecting our energy. Kind of what Dia de Los Muertos is all about.

ALTAR LYRICS [Verse 1] Fresh white flowers and a new tea light Nine cups of water, still water Soon I'll see your face Don't know why I ever thought you were far away I should've known better [Pre-Chorus] If I set a flame and I call your name I'll fix you a plate, we can go to dinner We can share a meal your way And I'll play you the songs that you used to play [Chorus] So I put you on the altar, stay just a little bit longer, woah Laid it out for ya', thought I felt you before Now you're closer, closer, woah So I put you on the altar, stay just a little bit longer, woah Laid it out for ya', thought I felt you before Now you'rе closer, closer, woah, woah [Verse 2] Holdin' on to things you told me Holdin' on to drеams you showed me Holdin' on to anything from you That you've been leaving here Now I believe I swear I can smell your perfume Picking up your signal like a phonebooth Keeping you alive and I do it 'cause I want to
