Oddly, these engines weren't built to last forever, but to fill a gap. Yet, here it is. The K & WVRWY has done a wonderful job.

Thanks, yes a unique Loco which is still working well and seems very popular with visitors with all the different sounds it makes.

Thanks, yes even when it's standing it's noisy I think it has some sort of valve or compressor on the front that UK Locos don.t have. Richard

I think so, I don't know much about American Locos but this one is very popular with visitors and a big attraction on the Railway. Richard

@@byfordmodelrailway786 if you dont know these locomotive are USATC S160 class, their maded for war effort use on WW2 along with other classes like the tank engine S100 that commonly used on parts of europhe and then the S200 which commonly used on the middle east. These USATC locomotives have dozen different american locomotive builders that built these series of locomotive, starting of American Locomotive Company (better known as ALCo), followed with Baldwin and then Lima locomotive works
