Thank you so much! I’m in 8th grade and I’m very new to track. Today I tried high jump for the second time and I might be participating in our meet on Wednesday, and I’m very short so I was told by the coach that I need to jump higher, this helped me so much!! Tysm! ❤

Hey man, my name is blake, im 15, and my PB is 6'0" and my problem is form. I can clear 6ft purely off of my jump, but i can get a good 2-4 inches higher with good form. Maybe some high jump videos on jumping into form and how to control mid air would be fantastic! You have my sub though!

Hitting a HJ bar is much easier then hitting a 300# steeplechase barrier... Also curious why you have them run a circle instead of a J or U curve which is closer to an actual approach.
@keinanbriggs2 жыл бұрын
Imagine a baseball batter swinging until he made contact with the ball. The reason I have them run a full circle is to emphasize the motions and stay in the same position longer.. its an exaggerated coaching tip kind of like fully swinging through like batters do.
@stevespyder2 жыл бұрын
@@keinanbriggs Kind of like javelin throwers doing cross over step practice in multiple directions, using both feet and both up and down hill, until that step starts feeling natural.
