Thank you very well explained. I am in a CofE church. It is not a bad church but a couple of things worried me last year and i was thinking about things wondering what to do and i thought what a shame im not on the PCC, if i was i could have some influence. It was just a thought. Im just a bod there not prominent but a few days later in church the church warden(who i hardly know) asked me out of the blue if i wanted to join and invited me to nominate myself as they were voting the next month. She seemed so pleased when i said i would. The way that happened seemed to me a sign to stay and i feel more positive. I looked up the local gafcon church, i had been there before when they hosted a service wanting to meet other churches. I know people from several different churches, we meet but i cant give up on where i am, i love them. And the words of the service, the prayers and the hymns have meaning for me. As these were the words i used to speak as a child. And i don't know everything but God put me in that church when i came back to Him. God bless you, i will keep watching x

@rv1684 I was like you when I retired twenty years ago. I joined the PCC to change the world, went on the Deanery Synod and became secretary before realising that it is impossible to change anything Godly in the CofE. I eventually gave up and resigned. For the next 15 years I regularly attended and was shocked when the churches were closed down at lockdown. Put your faith and trust in God? We left Christ to hang on the cross alone during Holy Week. During this period a bereaved member of the congregation visited other members of the congregation for solace. Not one let him in, though it was raining and cold whilst others shut the door in his face. Later I discovered that it was not the Government that locked the churches down but the churches themselves but nobody ever new. You cannot disassociate parish from Canterbury. If Canterbury and the other Bishops are worshipping Satan then, by default, so are the parishes. Satan isn't interested in the words you utter but your actions. I am now a member of Brett's congregation which means standing up to the Devil which his CV explains travelling some distance to be so. Take my advice, get out.

Hi Brett. Just watched this with my wife on her laptop but jumped on under my own sign up to comment. You hit the nail squarely on the head with every point. We left the UK years ago but keep up with the news (not MSN) and are disgusted and disappointed at the direction that Britain has gone over the last few years under the Tory Party but Starmer is destroying everything that Britain stands for and what has in the past put the Great into Great Britain. Couple of points. First one being that I find it typical of the type of pipsqueak that Starmer is that the first thing he decides to cut back on to save money is the pensioners heating allowance (which is a tiny amount when all things are considered) but he seems content in handing over 12.8 Billion quid to Ukraine - so far - and has promised another 3 Billion PER YEAR for as long as it takes plus over a billion pounds a year on housing illegals in 4 start hotels. Happy to feed and keep illegal immigrants warm over winter, but the pensioners who have worked and paid taxes for over 40 years get to freeze to death. Shame on him. Secondly - you mention the lack of political leaders who are pushing for traditional values and Christianity. The only one that I can see is UKIP's Nick Tenconi - and of course your good friend Father Calvin Robinson is UKIP Lead Spokesman. Nick seems to me to be the only one pushing for the same qualities that Trump is going for in the USA. Farage sadly has become a rather bad joke. Claiming to be a real alternative to the "uniparty" of The Conservatives and Labour - now that he has his seat with the Big Boys in Parliament, he no longer has any teeth. He's distanced himself from Tommy Robinson and the patriotic people who actually voted for Reform....has capitulated to the Muslim hoards and has also said that kicking out illegals on a large scale is impossible. If he wants the respect and votes of the British public, he needs to grow a pair and actually represent the people who voted him in.

In regard of the Ukrainian conflict being a "just war," there is the little matter of the eight years of infighting and deaths between the western Ukrainians and people of Russian ethnicity in the Donbass area before Putin's intervention. Too, from the perspective of the Russian Orthodox, they believe that they are fighting a just war. I suppose, because the Russian Orthodox are not Christians of Western European orientation, it makes them less Christian than you are?

Ukraine is most certainly NOT a "just war"! The war could have ended at the start with the Istanbul Agreement which was provisionally signed by Zelensky and Putin in March 2022 -- until BORIS JOHNSON was despatched by Biden to kill the peace deal. As even warmonger Lindsey Graham has publicly celebrated, in this proxy war which has cost nearly 1 million dead, the only winners are Black Rock and other vulture firms that will mine the rare minerals, etc. Not to mention that Zelensky rules as an unelected Autocrat who has banned elections and all opposition parties and media and outlawed the largest Orthodox Church community in Ukraine - and all the corruption too!

We can look to the book of Jeremiah to get a clear picture of the UK situation from God's perspective. God witnessed the long term degeneration of Israel and then Judah. He gave many messages and warnings through his prophets. The kings and spiritual leaders allowed the nations to turn from God. They ridiculed, imprisomed and otherwise persecuted those truth-sayers, of which Jeremiah was one. The parallel here is obvious. It is likely to take a disaster of epic proportions to bring the people back to God. But there is hope, because God never changes. He loves his people and is always willing to forgive the penitent heart.
