You can own one. It’s just dumb expensive to get a new one. There are used framesets for sale, but good luck trying to find something above 56. All you need to look for is “NJS frameset” Framesets like these are really cool. To know that you are riding a bike that some japanese racer used to race, with people betting a pretty penny on him.

@@jjpoltergeist Kerin gambling also exists in Korea. There is information about the bike, and the finished bike is said to be about $4,000. Bikes have no brakes in fixed gear and are intended for use on the track, so it will be quite challenging to ride on the road.

I you watch enough races, you can use the body language of the rider and often guess who is more likely to win because of that.

It is highly regulated, so doubtful if fixed. They have different ranks. so when they win a lot, they move up to a harder rank.

this looks like a normal track cycling. In cycling the draft is very important (driving behind somebody is easier than being first because of air resistance) thats why there are driving at start slowly. Good tactics and great kick are essentials for track cycling

@@thatWASdum328 I agree with you that Korea also has Kerin gambling, and there have been dozens of frauds caught so far. There may be fewer factors to consider in batting than in horse racing, but the risk of fixed race is much higher than in horse racing
