I appreciate the effort you went through to modify a set of Hemi valve covers specifically for allowing for a visual during pre-oiling / oil priming to prevent a mess. That's "next level" engine building! Nicely done Rick. I hate messes too! :)

Rick, I've never built an engine. I'm watching you and others to learn. You have been able to fix each issue involved with this build and make it right. I'm amazed. Thanks for sharing the process. God bless

I know I keep harping on how important it is that you are doing these videos, Rick - but it is. Then you go and mention a collaboration with Joe and that's just more icing for the cake. I learned of him through Jamie at Dead Dodge Garage and the dude strikes me as knowing his stuff pretty well, so it only makes sense you're doing something with him. The hobby, and Mopars in specific, is bettered by you all. - Ed on the Ridge

Looks good Rick..I'm surprised that smoke didn't come out of your drill when you were priming the Hemi...I know my drill let the smoke out! What is the interesting green machine in the background?

That is a Cincinnati Tool and Cutter Grinder. I bought it and haven't had a chance to even start to learn it with these projects going on. But I would like to. Thanks for watching.

Any idea when the collaboration video will be posted on Joe's page? It's really cool to have more of your expertise out there

I'm ready but Joe is so jammed up all the time with a half a dozen projects going on at once. I'll keep working on him. Thanks for watching.

Good Video...But, I will have to watch your other videos as you skipped the detail of the head install as well as the rocker arms at the 3:10 mark?

There wasn’t much to installing the heads dry so I didn’t include it. Sorry. Thanks for watching.

So Rick, are all those companies testing your patience, skills and senility or what?😅

You are so right. If it's not a stock Mopar part you're bolting on there's no telling what will happen. Thanks for watching.

When you pulled the pan off could you have added clearance to the pan / windage tray so that it would work with a dip stick?

I would have to notch the pan rail and machine the windage tray. It could have been done but to run on a test stand it won’t be necessary. Thanks for watching.

Usually ATI but for this build I used a Fluidampnr because it’s the same width as a Street Hemi so if you put it in a street car the pulleys will line up. Thanks for watching.
