I'm so glad to see Keith Black back in operation and making engines again. I worked for Keith black up in South Gate, right out of high school in the 1980's milling billet aluminum crank shafts. I always came home covered in aluminum chips. The old Italian milling machine I worked on used to break its mounts to the floor and dance around the room until you could dive for the stop button and turn off the mill. A little scary but the guys seemed to enjoy it. Glad that machine is gone. Good luck to the new Keith Black.

I enjoy working on Mopars, Hemi engines are legends. My classic Dodge daily driver is a 318 engine with lots of miles and still going strong.

Very cool I worked at KB in late 80s with Wes Cerny and John Garrison we did some bad ass HEMI engines 636ci tractor pull and 557ci Big Willie off shore boats too

I have had good results with BAE engines and heads. KB too. Wish you were making the big valve heads too. I have a couple KB's with the 9/16 head studs and they are pretty early production. The BAEs have been really good to me. I haven't had any issues. The new KB facility is local to me which I like. We don't have decent machine shops in the Tampa Bay area. True story. It's getting BAD

Donovan was the first with the 392 and I believe Milodon was the first with the 426 aluminum block, but maybe I'm wrong.

I'd like to know the particulars of that Pro Stock looking street engine. That would be badass in a Pro Street car with two Holley Dominator looking throttle bodies sitting on top of that intake. A throttle body fuel injected Pro Stock replica engine that is mild enough to drive on the to street, but looks strip only when the hood is off at a car show.

Go watch Rick Seaman's videos on his KB Hemi build. He says the dowel pins for the heads are off by .006" and the stock 426 Hemi used Ø.246" dowels instead of the more common Ø.250" used on his KB block. Maybe get a set of production drawings from Chrysler if they will sell them to you.

mopars unlimited has a 383 hemi for sale somebody modified a 383 block to use hemi heads if the new owner of keith black was smart he would buy the motor and mass produce the block the shorter deck with shorter stroke winds up a lot faster on the streets . its a superior street motor

@@alanmeyers3957 that 383 block converted to use 426 parts makes a lot more compression and winds up about 1200 rpm more and does it a lot faster without the webbing breaking ! if they all want a tall deck they must not know much about engineering cause its almost exactly how tall the new helliphant is ! the tall deck 426 should have been more like a 526 from the factory

I mean whats a complete engine going to cost? Sounds awesome but when you can get a new Hellcat, not including wiring, etc, for $15k and get 700hp why would you spend another $10-$20k for the same amount HP. I’d love to have one. I like the idea of an aftermarket wedge block again. I hope he does great and can stay afloat.

There are a ton of wedge blocks out there and naturally aspirated, they succeed the Hemi.

the borders and delivery fees i get it but, we can't dyno an engine here in canada? we don't have climate control inside or you dyno test outside, engine and bare ass on a bank of snow tabarnack?

I don't get it either. Michigan has the same weather. Steve Morris has no problem dynoing in the winter.
