Avery Brooks seems to have become reclusive. I don't think he would want to do anything like that at this point. As for Dorn and David, I think their age unfortunately means limited opportunities. Sam Jackson has Fury on lock, and there really aren't any other notable roles for older black men I can think of in comic movies.

Glad Keith David is getting his dues. To have *"The Thing"* as his debut is something else. I wouldn't say he's underrated. *"The Thing"* is still dissected and debated over 42 years later by people who weren't even born yet. And for that alone, people know who Keith David is. Really good actor.

To be fair. The thing was a financial flop that people didn't take seriously until years later. There's a reason it's known as a cult classic rather than a classic. So arguably the fact one of the greatest films ever made was a financial flop that despite still being dissected 40 years later still has people find new info on to this day didn't make money in the box office should be evidence that everyone involved in that film were underrated. Considering how great if truly is.
