I met him in Wellington NZ along with Jason Dill, Kerry Getz, Jereme Rogers, Jeron Wilson, and others on a DVS tour Early 2000-2001. He signed my shoes "HUF" Best Day Ever. Cheers

He had been battling brain cancer for 2 years, so he possibly knew he didn't have long. I just got into him, and I find out he passed away.

I would guess it was sometime in the late 90's when I read in article in, maybe, Big Brother, that covered a road trip some team Huf and Berra were on went to Hawaii. Juliette Lewis, Berra's then wife, said that Huf was like Superman on his board, the way that he was so unassuming, then so powerful. For some reason that stuck with me. Respect to so stoic, so powerful, a dude. Rest in peace.

I met Keith and 2 other DC boys skating my home park in Australia in the late 90s, he gave me some DC stuff and we sat and talked for a bit this was not a show they had just stopped at a park while travelling to Sydney. Then I watched him do a bank to transition gap no one would of thought to do that way! Such a great guy I hope his passing was not to painful.

The best we can do in someone's passing is to celebrate them. I recently got back into skateboarding. And after hearing Huf humbly say that he has limits but he was working on improving his ollie, that was pretty cool. You've inspired me to improve my ollies man because I'm "rusty" too.
