Sang this at church last week. Like 'In Christ Alone', it's so profoundly written and centres on the truth. The Gospel is something not even the most intellectual person could comprehend. Yes the power of the Gospel is foolish but the victory of Christ is already at hand. The Joy as a God's child is ongoing and you can mock us as much as you like but in the end, His glory prevails!

Keith Getty plays beautifully and is a wonderful lyricist. He has a deep love and appreciation for the classic hymns of the Church and he is now composing some of the very best contemporary worship hymns. Kristyn is just angelic. Her physical beauty is surpassed by her gentle spirit. There is a look of rapture on her face and in her eyes as she sings this marvelous song. Please pray for this young couple's ministry. May God continue to use them to bring Him glory and praise.

This hymn is so majestic..so true..so awesome and beautiful. This is excellent theology in song. Anyone listening to the song will learn of Salvation's cost and the price He paid . This should become a standard for our hymnals. Our young people should learn it- it may be the only true message they hear in today's modern day churches where the Cross and it's message have been conveniently removed. I love it and I have enjoyed the Getty's music for several years. This is anointed music..the kind which honors God!

It is so sad that we do not have the Power of the Cross preached from the pulpit. That is why I mis seeing the Billy Graham Crusades anymore be cause he preached the power of the cross. Thank you for this song
