It would be difficult to reply to every comment left here on this video, so let me just say- All of you, whether you've been with me since the beginning or you jumped on board somewhere along my journey, I just want you to know that I love and appreciate all of you so much. I read every comment here and I can't help but feel humbled, motivated, and inspired by your kind words and support. Thanks for helping some random dude on the internet live his dream all these years.

I found your gold-standard Seymour Duncan comparison video 11-12 years ago, was immediately hooked by the 'Pillars Of (Re-)Creation' riff, and grabbed the first three albums off of your site (I paid!). I'll leave the 7-string madness to you, but I've been happy as hell riffing to your work on my PRS SE 277. The instrumental stuff really opened me up to more progressive metal with 'Braving The Dunes', 'The Piscator', and, of course 'Pillars'. I sincerely appreciate the effort, fun, and nerdiness you put into your shit, dude.

You're certainly not just a random dude on the internet. You're on of the OGs out here! There is no way to not land on your YT if you're into the heavier type of music and guitar playing. Thank you for being a part of our guitar journeys. Forever grateful for you, your music and your videos. Cheers mate!

You're the source of a massive amount of inspiration Keith. You kill not just riffing but structuring and are always pushing metal into new territory, and you've done more for the guitar gear development world than most people begin to realize. Best of all you've always been a super nice dude, thanks for answering my silly emails about lighting and recording setup years ago!

I recall around 2010 when I first started working in kitchens with people who didn't like metal at all I'd play Merrow instrumental stuff (they were all hip hop heads) and were super into it. In the age of iPod touches, etc I didn't have anything without screaming. Merrow writes such good music that people that don't even like metal enjoy it.
@XChristianNoirX4 ай бұрын
While I enjoy some screaming, it seems it so expected, it reaches the proportion of caricature. With that said, I have a bunch of pop songs I might end up growling and screaming over. 😅

@@kryptickorner Loomis and Godsmack...I did not see that coming! Could be interesting, could be total shit 🤣
@kryptickorner5 ай бұрын
@@FionnMcc yea, I'm not sure my sarcasm got across, or confusing wording, but it was meant to be kind of a low blow comparison of Arch Enemy, an elite mainstream metal band who, in my comparison sounded about as tough and generic as Godsmack...it was absurd sarcasm. Of course Jeff would sound ridiculous with them, but point being, his massive skills and song writing talents which really show from the days of Nevermore, where as Keith wrote most of the core riffs to CD; are being lost and drown out. One can only hope the dream team will reunite. I had hoped the same for Nevermore untill Warrel passed.
@FionnMcc5 ай бұрын
@@kryptickorner ah fair, I thought you were serious 🤣 I quite like arch enemy and Godsmack 🤣 although you are correct they are very mainstream and not exactly what I would call good. They are like going to McDonald's, you know it's shit but for some reason it still tastes good! Loomis on the other hand is incredible and yeah I agree Nevermore was great. The problem is money I assume. It pays better to play in more mainstream bands. Broderick, Andy James, Loomis etc, they have all gone to the "dark side" and joined mainstream metal bands for the cash (I assume).
