This guy obviously has invested a large part of his life to listening to the original blues masters...and then he adds the Keith touch...and that's what set the Stones apart from every other band. They got the blues.

Holy shit! My favorite rendition of this song was by Dave Van Ronk (1962). Got to hear it live at the Unicorn coffee house in Boston. I also saw DVR at the 1963 Newport Folk Festival. And now, in 2022, Keith is the reigning King of Cocaine Blues. I wish he would do a US solo tour. I live in Las Vegas and would travel many miles to see him.

@keith richards I wish the Stones would do a tour -- or a bunch of one-offs -- where they played nothing but slow songs, like Sweet Virginia, Dead Flowers, Wild Horses, Country Honk, Coming Down Again, Angie, and there are a ton of slow songs on your brilliant Beggars Banquet album that I would love to hear. You know, Mick doesn't have to jump around to songs like "Start Me Up" for it to be a great concert. And your true fans (and there are many) would prefer you and Ronnie and Mick sitting in chairs, with Mick playing harp and you and Ronnie strumming acoustic guitars. I think you underestimate your fans and what their tastes are.

1966 started listening to the R.S. Never stopped..never got bored still listening.. The great thing they did for me, is to open me up to all the other great music, I got to love.. They toght me, that it doesn't matter which type, class, genre of music it is; there is only Good music and Bad music!! And that's all there is to it!!

You really got double the music when you heard the British blues band's . I knew no one who listened to the blues . Then you listened to the Stones ,Yardbirds and John Baldry and Mayall and you loved the music . Then you would research who wrote it and you became a fan of the old black blues men who did it first . Sixties was a great time for music

Muddy BB Clarence Gatemouth T bone..etc etc.. until I crossed over to Jazz...the great American Classic Jazz, especially between 55-72.. and the Funk Soul even Reggae..Fusion, all got in...
