There no tougher then anyone else, and he wasint a Russian, he was a dagi, the Dagestanis get special privileges that other fighters dont get since they are Muslim, they avoid drug testing by training inside of a mosque, this is just classic Russia, not only using people that are not actually Russian to fly there flag, but also ensuring that there fighters are juiced to the gills soviet Olympics style.

It wasn't a devasting loss, it was a split decision. Winning a split decision is physically no different to losing one, & psychologically speaking there was nothing devastating about it, in fact there were more positives for him to take away from that "Loss" than anything else. Staying on that psychological angle, how devastating would it be to him had his Team insisted he took a fight vs an unranked fighter? It would have told him that they believed he deserved to lose that split decision & that they dont believe in him. He was 100% correct to take the fight. However, in taking the fight he may have learned or confirmed some changes he needs to make to his attitude, training methods & the team he has around him, obviously theres improvements he can make.

Tim Tszyu is a warrior, for sure. But.... several things have caught my eye about both him and Nikita; they both think they are invincible due to plain aggression and going for the kill once they land a good shot. Way too cocky, way too mouthy before fights (Tim was going to "land Fundura's head in the 2nd row of seats"). Just STFU and get better. That fight today was a mauling. I'm shattered by it, b/c I really like Tim, but his team needs a revamp, and he needs to develop some humility, which will lead to better defence and better skills. If everyone just believed in themselves and didn't address their defects, but tried really hard - if that worked, we'd have about 10 million world champions. Back to the drawing board Tim.

These mistakes were there during the Gausha fight. His footwork is not perfect , often flat footed and he walks around with his chin sticking out. The problem has been over hyping wins against fighter such as harrison, Mendoza which all were carefully handpicked. Tszyu believed he can walk through anyone. Twice now, I feel his corner has to take a great deal of responsibility in this performance.
@Soul-TakerАй бұрын
Nah Tim needs to wear a lot of the blame. There's no way they told him to go out there and walk through Bakhram. Kostya has been saying all week it will be a hard fight, and Tim needs to break him down methodically. If Tszyu had fought as he did against Mendoza and Harrison he wins the fight. Tim's attitude was all wrong from the opening bell, no defence just coming forward and standing straight up, no knee bend at all.
@mrbungle7586Ай бұрын
@@Soul-Takertotally agree. Kostya knew exactly how tough this guy is and would be. Thurman's onto it. At the open workout Tszyu was bringing his right glove down (jaw line) after every punch, even after a left hook or jab. Worse, Tszyu seemed to be throwing his right from that same height. One of the first things you're told NOT to do, even when on the pads, as the muscle memory will pave a path of least resistance that ultimately leads to a bad habit.
