This woman speaking in the video needs to get her facts correct. The young man that played for Keith Urban back in July is Rob Joyce. Rob completely slayed the song "Good Thing" from start to finish. Thank you Keith Urban. Rob's guitar skills are at a professional level. Ellen did a great job with Keith playing electric guitar alongside her.

this video cements what I always say about the music industry , in that success demands a COMBINATION of things, many of which are intangible: if you go by playing , or singing skill alone, forget about it, because there are untold thousands of excellent musicians out there, who will never go on to have fame. But the ones that do, again, have that uncanny grouping of other factors, which includes looks, personality, attitude, aura, and so many other things. Keith has it in spades, but as evidenced by this video and the previous one with the guy that got up on stage with him, sure, they can play Keith Urban songs with the best of them, but they are not, nor will ever be, "Keith Urbans"....a reality that all of us musicians simply have to accept at some point in our lives.

Keith Urban is a great talent but, more than anything, he's just a great guy. It's always cool to see the odd fan get pulled on stage for a tune. Country musicians seem to be the best at it. I've always chalked it up to Southern upbringing. I do miss the South.
