If that was me I would not have chosen Jess with the fact that she blocked Keith, I think that was not thinking of Kaylee. Kaylee would of felt her choice was stripped from her. I know its a game but my heart sank when she blocked him, that was a horrible feeling. Kaylee deserved to be coached by Keith it was perfectly suited for her. Keith was so upset about it. Kaylee likely could of won if she was with Keith. The blocking should not be allowed. Keith turned first and it should be the singers choice.

There should be NO BLOCKING allowed after the chairs are turned. Keith paid his dues for years singing in Nashville on the strip and is an incredible judge. Totally loss of respect for her on every level. The rules shouldn't allow this and she's not half the artist Urban is. He'd have known what to do with Bell without girlfriending.

The US has better rules for blocking. You when your chair is backwards and you want to turn, and block a coach you hit the coach's name. That turns your chair. When the "blocked" coach turns "Blocked" is on the floor vice the name. If the coach don't turn, the block don't count. They get one block, and in this case Keith couldn't have been blocked since he was the first to turn. So in this case, Keith could not have been blocked by anyone since he was the first to turn, he could have blocked any of the three. Jess was second to turn, so she could block Rita or Guy. Guy was third so he could have blocked Rita, and Rita by turning last, couldn't block anyone.

It was, in my opinion, quite a rude and pathetic thing for Rita to block Keith when it was obvious that Kaylee would have chosen Keith to be her coach. I know it would be an honor to be on any of the judge's teams, but I can't help but feel like Kaylee's heart sank when Keith got blocked. Even if she had sang a different song it's clear her musical style would be most enhanced by Keith's guidance. I wish sometimes the judges didn't worry so much about their team being the best but rather what is the best thing for the artist in front of them. Especially since Jess ended up letting her go anyways!

Blocking her is evil. This girl literally had a dream of one day playing her song she wrote for her hero. She finally gets the moment she’s been waiting for her whole life. She doesn’t choke up. She doesn’t stumble. She sings her heart out and lets her emotions reach her hero. Literally the entire reason music is made is distilled in this moment. And that judge can’t read the room and is so selfish he deprives a girl of her dreams. He snuffs out a magical moment. Like this is actually upsetting even beyond it just being a reality game show. This is genuinely a crummy thing to do. While I know the song went on to be successful I truly think Kaylee would have benefited from being coached by Keith

I didn't see the episode when it first aired but have watched this a few times and I become so frustrated when Keith is blocked because you remove an amazing opportunity from a great artist. Some will say "but it's a competition" yeah sure to win with the best artist but I think blocking judges hurts the potential artist more than the judge, who blocked someone, would gain. Props to Kaylee for making an amazingly cool song and I hope she keeps growing!
