Meet him several times as a teenager here in Caboolture in Brisbane Australia where I live…his father had a convenience store….he was always down to earth and very friendly…he was a contestant on a tv show called “New Faces”….but never would I have imagined he would turn out to be the consummate performer he is today.

This guy is from the same town as me in New Zealand. Whangarei (which is a Maori name) has a population of about 100,000 people, and is located on the North Island, about 176 Km's North of Auckland. He's done well for himself.

At the age of 2 he moved to the suburb of Caboolture an outer suburb here in Brisbane…Queensland Australia….which is where I live….his father owned a convenience store there and it was his father who put an ad in the window for a guitar teacher.. which lead to Sue McCarthy teaching him to play.

I've been in recovery for years and I never thought I'd be saying that I was "getting high with Keith Urban" again (I think he has 17 years sober), but here we are. He covers Taylor a lot. I think I've seen Keith live about 50 times (no joke) and whenever Taylor has a new single out, he usually covers it. I love that, especially because I'm a fan of both of them. I love their friendship. When she released "Fearless TV" and did TWO songs with Keith, I was so excited. I wish they'd collab on every album. LOL They sound so good together. (Edited for correction. Keith is on "Fearless," not "Speak Now.")

Keith used to come into the dental surgery where I worked when he was in his 20s with bleached blonde hair. I didn’t know who he was at the time but the other girls did. He was always shy and polite. It’s weird but I’ve actually been in his mouth 😂😂😂
