I love this song! But can we talk about the dancer for just a moment? I mean, the way she moves, telling the story of the lyrics. The entire thing is so 4 dimensional. Like, she's posed as this shadow. It reminds me of Carl Jung's anima. The female reflection of the male self. Then it digs deeper in how she moves along as though to mimic or mock almost. Combined with the actual lyrics tells of a story of someone who is at war within. Particular emphasis of "the failure to decide, keep hoping for a sign" With the ending of the shadow coaxing the mind into the abyss as it were. Hence all the red fog and mystery. At least that's the read I get from the entirety of this. It's like battling depression.
