I've been a Jeff Beck fan since 1965 when I first saw him on TV with the Yardbirds..I saw Beck play with his original lineup in 1967 or '68 at Central Park in NYC - Mick Waller,Ron Wood,Rod Stewart. The amazing thing is Beck gets more incredible with age.Where others hit their peak decades ago he continues to improve his sound,technique and best of all - his soul.He plays with more feeling than ever.Truly amazing player - one of a kind.May he live forever!!!!!!

If you have not heard of Jeff Beck you have no room to Comment. I ain't Knocking him. He plays what he wants to play. Tons of integrity. Very special player. He is not under rated. I have listened to him for hundreds of hours. He can sure tickle an ear. He is my go to Rockabilly teacher. This is an EXTREMELY difficult song to recreate on the guitar. Trust me, even the most technically gifted virtuosos will have a hard time learning its nuances.

@@henningsS In order to get that Pedalsteel sound he is bending the string (raising the pitch) and hitting the bar (lowering pitch) at the same time, and if you dont do it the right way, its very easy to miss the key by going either flat or sharp. Also, when you play it by yourself on guitar, you gotta cover a lot of ground, keeping the rythm section tight and the melody going at the same time, while including all the little embellishments. Lots of things going on

Space Alien Jesus Wish I could have that feeling of just discovering Beck. Then going back to the Yardbirds through to now. He has an excellent live performance from the Crossroads Festival, from 2007. That performance got me to listen to his more recent music at the time. Look for young Tal Wilkenfield there on bass.
