Sooooo I had the exact same issue. 2007 frontier bad ecu (non immobilized) I purchased a 2007 xtera ecu with an immobilizer and literally used the heat gun to lift the chip off on and put on the other.. no flux, no tape no nothing.. I sense the Rossmann force is strong with this one. 🤣😂 Have you ever considered repairing damaged furnace/boiler/heat pump PCB's? I work in the HVAC field and keep almost* every PCB I can get through repairs or warranty work. Most times I can repair them with the help of Digikey/Mouser and make a little $$ on the side. As long as the MCU/software is ok, the boards are usually repairable (and if corrosion hasn't eaten the board to death). Relays and/or Darlington arrays are usually the culprits for your average furnace control board. Thanks for the video!
