I could see an argument for people being trained wrong and there being a gap, cause we know college sucks because federal bucks. Here's my compromise: cut H1B by 75% day one, to increase to 90% at the end of the first year, and 95% at the end of second year, to stay there. Ultimately, I think it was a good idea that things got so heated a month before the next administration. This was addressed before causing issues for Trump, and Elon and Vivek clearly understand what many of the voters want prioritised and not downplayed. Elon needed to clarify his position on wanting to reform the H1B so it is more expensive to hire foreigners than Americans. Having lost some of the positive momentum he gained kicks him in the butt to help avoid early mistakes during the next term, and give a clear path for companies whom they should prioritise from now on.

I think there's a decent enough formation of the ideals of the rightward movement for now, but these first few months will really be about determining what MAGA is outside of Trump, as a geniune movement to reform the system if at all possible. There must be a specific view that the american right can be unified on, it doesn't have to be some conservative utopia, but a goal that we can mostly agree and compromise on to get America back to a position of strength and growth. What felt really, truly insulting for me is how he immediately turned and started insulting EVERYONe who disagreed with him as being stupid and incompetent, and declaring that Americans were the problem with America. Sorry bro but if that's your take then you're operating your businesses in the wrong country and perhaps should instead build them in the shitholes you're importing labour from. It's OK, you're smart, you can start from zero again. But, if you don't want that, you need to get on your knees and properly apologize to the people who you owe everything to. And, he should be glad we're *only* asking for an apology, and not extensive punishments.

Even lefties had the wisdom to not openly declare their hostility like that on the outset.
