The Board of trustees who decided behind doors such high matter should resign. All parties involved in this biased decision should resign or be removed from the board ASAP. Public schools are nobody’s private property or institution. The parents, teachers, students and all parties should be involved and have something to say. We pay high property taxes and these handful of people are deciding our future. It’s unacceptable. The government should investigate this matter and those people should be permanently removed from their post.

Keller is trying to kick the poors out of their district while simultaneously sticking them with a bunch of debt. It's a really gross situation, bordering on criminal.

Another consequence of building apartments over homes, and a generation that cant retire in their 50's and waiting till their mid 60's. This causes people to stay in their homes longer in life and less kids in the ISD..GOOD LUCK

Keller has been doing some good things lately, focusing more on education, banning phones during the school day, redoing the debt to reduce interest, etc. They should not split it, that's ridiculous, because all of us within the district have to pay into the Keller ISD through taxes.

I get it. The poor kids are dragging down everyone that matters. Kids have been segregated based on grades and family income for decades. This is a bit on the nose.

Nobody poor in Keller, maybe middle class. Is that the reason for the split?
@keneric13 күн бұрын
Wrong, one set of taxpayers is paying more for another set of taxpayers kids to go to school. You love equality so much, make it where everybody pays equally for their kids to go to school or split the district in half.

She might not have known it, this was all schemed up by Randklev and his lawyers he hired using the school district's funds. Randklev and mayor are clearly wanting a separate school district for white and rich. Randklev should resign and should be fired from his job at univ for being a racist.

I say split the school district. Why should the residents of one city subsidize residents and students of several other cities. The the residents of the city of Keller by far pay the most dollar amount per child and and get the least in return while their tax dollars are used to build brand new facilities in those other cities under the blanket of Kisd. The city of Keller should have their own School District. Fort Worth, Haltom City, Hurst and North Richland Hills should do what they need to do to service their own residents.
@scotshabalam243213 күн бұрын
I disagree education should be equal lest we want dullards who can't get good jobs and are more inclined to criminal activity to support themselves dragging down property values for all of us while harming our gross domestic production. I can see where the conflict arises in that people only want to advocate for what's good for themselves rather than what's good for all of Dallas.

A major issue is a lot of KISD's most valuable assets are on the "right side of the tracks" (KCAL, the natatorium, district offices, the football stadium, certain SPED services, etc.). Its like a divorce where one spouse clearly walks away with a way better outcome. The "wrong side of the tracks" district would more than likely inherit a sizeable portion of KISD debt, have to build essential facilities from the ground up, have to rebrand (more costly than you think), elect a new board, and do so much more. The new district would be responsible for a tab that no district could responsibly budget for, setting a lot of schools up for failure. The idea that the board pretends this could be a fast-tracked process is terrible. Splitting could be a great idea, if done ethically, cautiously, and methodically.
@ThirdCoastGems13 күн бұрын
LOL. The homes and businesses that are in Northern NRH, Hurst, Western Colleyville, and in the Heritage Neighborhood of FW are equally valued to much of Keller proper. Gimme a break. Plus, many of those cities educated Keller's children for decades when it was a sleepy train depot. So literally stop it. I get that certain part of the district are more needy than others, but let's not pretend Keller doesn't have issues of it's own and there are no trailer parks.
@poemssoul13 күн бұрын
Lol most of the taxes come from "the wrong side of the tracks". All the shopping, business, restaurants and new buildings are in this wrong side, they contribute 75%. The wrong side is the husband, they are wife. The husband works hard and made 75% family income. The wife who wants to be fancy like the neighbor Carroll in Southlake, she lived beyond their means, over spending and put the whole family in debt. Now she hired the lawyer with her husband's money behind his back, wants to divorce, but wants to keep all the house, cars, kids... the husband will be left with debt and also has to pay child support too. Lol. Wanna split, fine, but if the wrong side of the tracks will carry 75% debt, they should get 75% of all the stadiums, kcal, kcal, pools... which happen to be in their side of the tracks.
