Some of the stellar budget cuts included not having the HVACs serviced mid-August at KISD schools, such as Freedom Elementary. My third grader had no AC in her homeroom during 104 degree temperatures. This affects school staff and teachers as well as the children. I was informed that this was not the only school in KISD that was affected by unserviced AC units in August. Yes, good job managing funds in the district 👏🏼

Keller ISD has been doing great things lately: actually focusing on learning, banning phones during class time, redoing the debt to free up the budget, etc. This is a BAD idea, but once they get over this, they'll keeping doing well I think.

This is an absolutely headassed take. They've deprived funding from schools, alienated LGBTQ+ students, and arbitrarily banned books. This school board is a fucking joke.
