I started listening to SWS in 2011. 13 years ago when things were tough but also easier. Life has been a rough ride. Along the way I saw a lot of other people waiting, fighting for a brighter day. Countless times I’ve listened to this on repeat. The sadness and joy of relating. It’s a different feeling realizing at least someone out there understands you and you truly are not alone. Might not be the person and people you want to but someone does. The original version is good but nothing compares to this version by SWS. I remember my sophomore year of high school, my English teacher gave us an assignment. She wanted everyone to bring in 2 pieces of art(paintings, poems, songs, etc) that explained what love meant to us. I picked the lyrics to this song. I was just a dumb 15 year old who had never been in love, but this song touched me deeply. 12 years latter, countless heartbreaks, and a broken engagement latter, I still think this song is what love means to me. I am 27 now, engaged again, to the most wonderful, caring, understanding, loving, annoying man I have ever met and I know this version of the song will play at our wedding. I don’t know if anyone is reading this. Someone who doesn’t think they’ll find love. You will. You deserve it. And it will better than you ever thought possible.

My 18 year old daughter Isabella loved this song so much and this band. When I would pick her from work she would get me to listen to new songs she loved and I remember this one so much and the night we drove home listening to it over and over. She was killed March 1 2020 in a car accident thru no fault of her own and we played this at her funeral. Now I listen and cry and remember and I will love her even when we are just energy out in the universe. Maybe that's what she wanted me to know ...she is still here in the universe.
