This world will not be the same when Ozzy one day leaves us. I’ve loved him most of my life. He’s still one of my favourite voices and here is 2023 I am so thrilled that the family has a new reality show. Ozzy remarked to Kelly on a recent episode about their number one hit and he was so proud and beaming recalling this song when they made it. Kelly’s voice is just a slightly more feminine version of Ozzy’s. I’d love to hear her do remakes of all the old greats. Love this family.

This song kicks me in my heart, brings tears to my eyes. I'm an older man, in my 60's, but I'd never dreamed I'd have a child in my life, especially a daughter. But a few years ago I was blessed with an amazing daugher. She's 17 now, and soon to go off to college. It's hard losing the little girl sometimes, it's hard to say goodbye, but I welcome the young woman who I love with all my heart. We're going through changes.
@sheryljarvis Жыл бұрын
yes pops, you are both going through changes, as life demands of us. Ready or Not. Saying goodbye can be one of the hardest things we humans must ever do and the contexts are limitless. You said it best On top of this amazing expression of acceptance and indeed welcoming of your grown daughter. You are now an adult she will meet more and more on adult ground. Neither of you will forget nor ever surrender completely that Dad and wee daughter connection that is both of yours to have, remember and hold throughout the years....

Truth is Ozzy uses a harmonizer/auto-tune and alot of reverb. Was one of the first to start doing this when he went solo. You can say his voice is strong, but the truth is is it's continually gotten weaker since Black Sabbath with more harmonizer and auto-tune as the years have gone by. But it still sounds good doesn't it? It's funny how people put down auto-tune and harmonization machines but the truth is is they sound great. But don't get it twisted, as he is really not a great singer but has great effects to supplement what he has which is cool but good as stretching it to be quite honest. But don't believe me oh, just look up Ozzy sings Take Me Out to the Ballgame and you can hear his real voice. It's quite a shock actually. With that being said I don't even care though LOL
@morganthus63234 жыл бұрын
@@vernal6944 Ozzy has never used autotune. It didn't even exist back then. It was invented in 97. In Sabbath he used to use two mics and a delay to create a stereo effect, and as time went on they simply put one mic into two channels with a slight delay to get the effect. In this modern vid it sounds like he may be using some pitch correction or singing with a backing track.

What a sad and poignant song, but beautifully executed by a legend and his daughter. Never even knew she could sing or did, learn something new every day.

The amazing thing about songs, is that some aren't relevant at the time. And then years later they make you bawl like a baby.

Is this Aunt K? Some people just think I mimic my dad but we both have that same nostril defect he's always needed something out there to help him sing when he was in the best shape so I don't like it when this girl I know she begs on me now mind

When this album came out I would listen to this song over and over while going to sleep (my turn table was next to my bed). My mom came into my room and asked who this was signing. She couldn’t believe it was the same guy that sang “Iron Man”.
