The term "whisper" is technically inaccurate from a singing perspective. You literally cannot whisper and hold a melody. Try it yourself. I am not trying to be critical. Most commentators on these sites are not experts on the mechanics of breath control. What Billie does vocally is more difficult than most people realize. She uses her almost perfect pitch and breathy intonation to create a very subtle but powerful emotional pallette. I viewed the great Alicia Keyes cover of the Billie song 'Everything I Wanted', and she really struggled. What is true is that Billie's style would not be easy to achieve without microphone amplification. But this is true of many singers, although not perhaps of the great Kelly C.

I love Billie, but I did't care much for this song (as much as some her other songs), BUT when I heard Kelly's cover, it became one of my favorites. The other songs on this EP are spectacular as well. Kelly is by far my favorite vocalist of all time. She sings every note without any sense of difficulty.
