I her roommate was my 1st girl friend-love & wife... I lost both of them due too war-ptsd-usmc-AMNESIA but Kelly is such a beautiful person, i kinda liked her more than my woman... man she threw me AN AWESOME FARE-WELL PARTY BEFORE I LEFT OFF TO IRAQ.. ill never forget it, thanks TEAM KELLY

I really love the line “I feel freedom when I stand now, I feel proud of who I am now, I’ve learned a lot along the way, I love the woman I’ve became”. That’s a line that everyone should relate to - you don’t have to have had an abusive mom or dad or a garbage relationship - my condolences go out to anyone who has had to go through that. Everyone is who they are now because of what they are now because of what happened to them when they were young. What happened to you makes you strong. I love that line of the song in particular. Kelly always has been a uniting force as a singer and as a person - it reminds me of why I became a fan of hers in the first place. And that voice....

"I Don't Think About You" Lyrics When you're lost in the moment You can't see where you're going I didn't know who I could trust So I put all my faith in us Oh, you tore me to pieces Turned my strength into weakness I didn't want it all to fall apart So I decided just to play the part But honestly, I'd do it all again Putting up with all the bullshit, he made me strong enough to do this It used to bother me Thought I could never leave After all that I've been through, nothin' left to prove No, no, no, I don't think about you Weighin' down on me I lost my sanity And now that we are through Nothin' left to lose No, no, no, I don't think about you I feel freedom where I stand now And I feel proud of who I am now Yeah, I learned a lot along the way I love the woman that I became I was patient, but not anymore Respect back in my hands And you swore I'd never do it But it's your turn to face the music It used to bother me Thought I could never leave After all that I've been through, nothin' left to prove No, no, no, I don't think about you Weighin' down on me I lost my sanity And now that we are through Nothin' left to lose No, no, no, I don't think about you It was hard to hold on Days and nights I thought I'd never make it all Couldn't make it at all Now I stand strong Feeling like myself again, no worries at all Breathe No one can stop me from livin' this moment for me I found my heartbeat After all that I've been through No, I don't think about you It used to bother me Thought I could never leave After all that I've been through, nothin' left to prove No, no, no, I don't think about you Weighin' down on me I found my sanity And now that we are through Nothin' left to lose No, no, no, I don't think about you I don't think about you (no) No, no, no, no anymore No, no, no, I don't think about you kzbin.info

Kelly Clarkson, YOU are the ICON of THIS Generation! A beautiful soul inside and out, Kelly is an inspiration to us all. She sings this song with SO much Love, Kindness and Peace, and HONESTY, that it gives you chills. IF YOU are a wounded* Adult Child, THIS song is for YOU! IF you are a survivor of ANY abusive Relationship, THIS song is for you! This song fueled with Kelly's Angelic vocals is a POWER SONG, one that gets ANYONE through the tough times, and offers EVERYONE searching for SOME kind of answers, a TRUE closure with EVERY NOTE! So, for those of you still wrestling with your closeted Demons who's bones keep on rattling NO matter how hard you try and hide them? This song is for you... On the 24th of this Month In 1981, I made one of the WORST mistakes of my young 21 year old life. And, on a snowy early morning In 1987, I had my answers as to just WHY I did so; and in 1991, I was legally FREE of that Nightmare of a person, and ALL of the PAIN he brought to me and my tiny children. Now, it is 2018, and I am loving and living LIFE, and the positive side of it too! Every time I see the sparking light green eyes of my beautiful Adult children, I KNOW I made the RIGHT decision to stay and then later, to leave him. Thank you again Kelly, for reminding me JUST why I am STILL MENTALLY Free. It is because I CHOOSE to STAY, me.

mental abuse? hahaha R u fucking kidding me? Id you feel mental abuse then you just shut that person up or you leave! There no excuse! Just sitting there and taking it is your fault! You can speak up and talk back! If hes not hitting you then you can speak your mind back! Im sorry but when people talk about mental abuse in a relationship then its all theor own fault! You have a damn mouth to speak back and you can leave the relationship! Physical abuse is different in the way that your life can actually be threatened if you do speak back or leave! But mental abuse??? PErsonally i think that abuse in a realtionship is 50/50. PArt of it is the abusers fault and part of it is the one who sits there and takes it! People compalin about abuse all the time and cry and complain again and threaten to leave and yet stay.....Im srry but if you are really tired of the abuse, like really really tired, then you get your ass up and LEAVE!!!! Threatening to leave and keep taking it is your own damn fault!!!! You choose to be with that person so you have to take responsibilty for that!!! You chosoe to do that to yourselff! The only abuse i believe in is parents abusing children or animal abuse where the children or animals dont have a choice and cant leave or fight back.

I had fought tooth and nail against my own self. Half of me wanted to just end it all while the other half wanted to live and see it through. Tho I'm still fighting to this day, my desire to thrive is now stronger than my brokenness. And I have you and your music to thank. This is a really personal song to me. @sarahruh036 жыл бұрын
rudolph mcfarland The fact that you’re commenting on everyone’s comments proves you want attention. Otherwise you wouldn’t be doing it. You know calling her fat would provoke a lot of her fans and make them call you out for it. You do realize body shaming doesn’t make people any healthier. Calling people fat doesn’t help anyone. If you call the wrong person fat or anything else degrading, that isn’t beneficial to their health either. She is not even close to being unhealthily overweight. The fact that she has lost the amount of weight she has is an extremely positive message. Even when she is a little bigger, she’s happy with herself which can make other people feel good in their skin. Don’t judge people you don’t know and then pretend it’s out of regard for their health. If you truly cared, you wouldn’t be calling her fat, especially in public.

(she's admitted to abusing me and him) I'll be playing this song for him. I hope he takes loving God and truly loving himself and me & his granddaughter (Alicia the Beautiful, my daughter) seriously. He's 75, January 2021. I hope & pray that he learns his lesson about real love very soon and permanently, this time!! God is love !! God is glorious!! I heard this song for the first time this evening. You put words to my pain, Ms. Clarkson,...the pain that I stuffed down inside my gut and refused to cry about/for/not even ONE MORE MINUTE of my time/emotions..I WOULD NOT..give another minute, HELL NO.... BUT, it bit me in the backside...an event occurred that undid me and I dissolved. I couldn't stop the tears and I thought I was losing my sh_t...again. A trusted advocate showed me that "being strong"..."soldiering on"...just "putting one foot in front of the other"...well...it's what I learned to do growing up, BUT....I had to "emote"...cry...it's not being weak...it's moving through the pain...I HAD to allow myself to FEEL the sorrow..... it's just the way we are made...as Human's BEING on this planet, this World...I don't know. I don't have the answers. I just know that I couldn't stop crying and now...when I feel the sorrow...of losing the sweetest, kindest, most gentle man I have ever had the privilege of knowing...when he left this earth so abruptly, unexectedly...so much pain that I couldn't get my head around it. Now...well...I've cried a river...found my voice again...and I sing my pain...lift my voice in praise...and then prayer...bring my pain to the feet of my Father (the Universe?)...whomever/whatever you believe is your Higher Power...I sing...and cry...and bring my sorrow to the feet of the only Person that I know truly hears my voice...even when I haven't been able to actually speak through song. Thank you, Kelly Clarkson, for having he courage to sing your pain and now, your victory in overcoming. My hat is off to you....

Moota Gilberto it’s sad when men are abused also. There are more cases of abused men but they’re embarrassed to come forward even more then women because of the machismo. Men may not be believed when they say they’re abused(physically or verbally) and other men may look at the abused man as a wimp, punk or whatever. 😭😭

I Don't Think About You Kelly Clarkson When you're lost in the moment You can't see where you going I didn’t who I could trust So I put all my faith in us Oh, you tore me to pieces Turned my strength into weakness I didn't want it all to fall apart So I decided just to play the part But honestly, I do it all again Putting up with all the bullshit, he made me strong enough to do this It used to bother me Thought I could never leave? After all that I've been through, nothin’ left to prove No, no, no, I don't think about you Weighin' down on me I lost my sanity And now that we are through Nothin' left to lose No, no, no, I don’t think about you I feel freedom where I stand now And I feel proud from who I am now Yeah, I learned a lot along the way I love the woman that I became I was patient, but not anymore He's back in my hands And you swore I'll never do it But it's your turn to face the music It used to bother me Thought I could never leave? After all that I've been through, nothin’ left to prove No, no, no, I don't think about you Weighin' down on me I lost my sanity And now that we are through Nothin' left to lose No, no, no, I don’t think about you It was hard to hold on Days and nights I thought I'd never make at all Couldn't make it at all Now I stand tall Feeling like myself again, no worries at all Breathe No one can stop me from livin’ this moment for me I found my heartbeat After all that I've been through No, I don't think about you It used to bother me (it used to bother me) Thought I could never leave? (Thought I could never leave?) After all that I've been through (through) nothin’ left to prove (prove) No, no, no, I don't think about you Weighin' down on me (weighin' down on me) I found my sanity (I found my sanity) And now that we are through (through) Nothin' left to lose (lose) No, no, no, I don’t think about you I don’t think about you (no) (No, no, no) no, no, no (Not anymore) not anymore No, no, no I don’t think about you

Although it could have done better, it did hit number one on the dance chart, was certified gold, and was nominated for a Grammy. Success doesn’t always mean a top 40 hit.
@asigelnski876 жыл бұрын
Evan Gerstenkorn totally agree with you. Just cause its not number 1 or top ten on the Hot 100. Doesnt mean it wasnt a hit. You have to keep in mind the Hot 100 is mainly all the youngsters. Which is mostly mumble rap, Swift, Bruno Mars and Weeknd and Drake etc etc. There will be a time when those artists dont rule the charts anymore. Just like Britney and Xtina and JLo had their time to shine. As did Kelly and Pink. But they have evolved from Top 40 to a more sustained and loyal fan base driven success. They still chart and appear on all the shows and award ceremonies. They just get the top 40 radio love they once did. And thats ok. Love So Soft was #1 on the dance charts and a top 10 hit on the Adult Contemporary charts and top ten on the Pop 100. Not to mention it was a hit in multiple other countries. And recievd a Grammy nom. Also the track has been featured on an episode of Grey's Anatomy and is in the trailer for the new movie Book Club. Tell me one artist who wouldn't kill for that.
