Kelly will ALWAYS be the American idol! I was so young when she won, I’ve seen her in concert a couple times since, and she only gets better each time I hear her. Best voice, best personality, best mother, and hilariously goofy. Love this woman!

I was so young too and she is the idol, regardless of being the winner of the first season. She’s the best singer to come from that show. Every song, in every genre, she can do. Immaculate and powerhouse. Very well by herself and vocal training after made her soooo good. I had a friend meet her without all the cameras and they said she’s so genuine and sweet that she was shocked at howwww nice she is, even without a ton around and cameras. She’s like the Whitney Houston of this generation.

Kim K wants one but keeps getting rejected because you need to prove you have made a successful contribution to one or more of the arts (theatre, TV/film, music etc.). They have to pay for their star and pay for its maintenance. I'm proud of Kelly though. Saw her at a taping of her show. She is very humble. She also drives a green camo jeep lol. She's awesome

I remember her entire run, and for me it was when she sang “Natural Woman”. It’s not a very easy song to sing and make sound special, as it doesn’t really have those ‘wow’ moments of other songs, but she slayed it. I sat up straight, and suddenly heard this song I’d been singing for decades, in a totally different light. The girl can sing ANYthing, and own it, immediately. Best to you, girl!

I have loved you every step along the way, Kelly :) Makes me very emotional to think back on every one of these years. I'm in NZ and so I had to watch her Idol journey and triumph online way back 2002 via downloaded videos and audio clips from LimeWire! lol. I relied on blogs to fill in the rest. It was just a couple years later in 2004 that I was given the task of editing our high school graduation video and I used Breakaway (which had just been released at the time) as our high school graduation song. Everybody approved and I was so happy. It was the first time in many years that Good Riddance by Green Day hadn't been used. Gosh, I miss those times so much. I was supposed to see Kelly in concert for the first time in NZ at the end of 2005 and I won meet and greet tickets! But she cancelled lol. She didn't return until 2009 but it was worth the wait. I still have many more memories associated with her after that, but I won't list them all. I just love her so much. I am so happy that she kept going after Idol x

I happened to look at Simons ear lobes. He has a big Crease in his lower ear lobe. It’s called Frank's sign is a diagonal crease of the ear lobe, supposedly related to cardiac pathology, and has strongly been associated with coronary artery atherosclerosis. Kelly sings multiple genres with different phrasing and inflections based on the genre. She also sings higher and with more dynamics. If you look at any website that talks about vocal pedagogy, Kelly is always mentioned. Carrie is rarely talked about as she isn’t a vocalist. Look at Carrie sing “I will always love you.” She has to lower the notes and also cannot sing high in falsetto. So, you have no idea what you’re talking about. Kelly even reaches the whistle register. Carrie is just a barbie country singer. Also, talk about one sided. All she does is country pop. She can’t sing r&b/soul or rock while Kelly can. Reba, Garth, and Dolly (country legends) are close friends with Kelly over Carrie as she is more relatable/likable.
