What it do Dream Team!? It’s ya boy D.Neal back with another reaction video! This Kelly Clarkson song took so much for her to sing! I just can’t imagine all the emotions inside of her its overwhelming to even think about! I don’t think I’ve seen a better performance and she left everyone listening in tears as she talked about her relationship with her dad and how heavy that was for her to bare! But that’s it for this one, if you guys have a favorite song or artist that you would like to hear me react to please don’t hesitate to drop it down in the comment section below!
I do NOT own the copyrights to this music so please go and check out the original video in the link below!

Why do you think he was a jerk? It's a genuine question. I only now they got divorced, but nothing about reasons. It seemed as a mutual decision, he didn't abandon them or something, she filed for divorce. And because of this song, I kind of want him to be a good dad even though they are divorced :)

This one tears me up every time. Your reaction was heartfelt and spot on.Of all the reactors to this I've seen you are the first one to point out her writing this , how hard ( but cathartic I imagine)it must have been. Of course I had to smile when you didn't see how she could sing it without breaking down, because I knew what was coming.

I can't imagine a parent making a child feel like that. Too bad the man that picked up the pieces is now her ex husband. Another song along these same lines is I Wonder by Kellie Pickler kzbin.info/www/bejne/eqaQoXqOhqqKgrc this is a video where both sides tell their side of things kzbin.info/www/bejne/n3nFeqSreM5seNE .. Amazing how an artist can capture what others go through and put it into a song. I mean, I know that pain. I feel it with her. Biggest hole is you’re left always wondering what did I do for them to walk away? Can I change something to heal. It never goes away. I WAS 6 years old when I met him the first time and I begged him to take us back. Mom stood in the distance and just watched him look at my sisters and I and say, “not now” he meant not ever. I grabbed onto his leg so tight but he just pulled me off and walk away and that’s all I remember, his back. I feel you Kelly. But a man walked into my life at 11 and that’s my stepDad. Still in my life 38 years. Hard to hear this song and keep it together.

I requested this song!! Thank you!! I can relate as my bio father left when i was very young and i never saw him again. My step dad came and and filled that void and is now my real father. So that song means a lot to me. Kelly wrote that song about her biological father when she was pregnant with her daughter, the man who taught her a father could love was her husband.

As a child you don't know what you've done wrong....and every little girl wants their daddy to protect them.....even tho I'm grown, sometimes that little girl inside me still wants my daddy to love me, but it's just too painful 😢 THANK YOU for your sincere reaction👏 Peace☮️

This song starts off seeming like a lover abandonment but with the 6 yr old line it directs the deed to her father then to the idea that he will only be there if you have something he wants otherwise you're not worth noticing. Any parent or child whose been abandoned by a parent will not only relate, but feel the same emotions that stirs from the 2 verses. How can a person just not care about their child and leave them at 6 years old, but sadly it does happen. Be it by substance abuse, the desire to leave the other parent, or just narcissism people do cut their kids out of their lives and the child is left to feel like they are the reason.. 3rd verse was so powerful, filled with hope, love, and optimist, that we all start becoming emotionally vulnerable. Add on the emotion and break downs she had while singing to a simple piano melody, you have to feel it. Especially when she hit the note on 'he loves her', thats a sledgehammer to the wall.

This song is about her dad that never wanted a relationship with her. Kelly tried to get in touch with her dad, but he didn't give her the time of day. He unfortunately died last year when Kelly did the pilot to her show. So she never had the love from her dad. In 2013 she got married to Brandon Blackstock. They have two children together and he has shown love not only to those children, but also to the other two children he had from a previous marriage. Now Kelly and Brandon are getting a divorce. I pray that he shows love to ALL his children even though he is getting another divorce. Kelly is such a strong woman. She brings life and energy to those around her. She is so talented, humble, positive, and kind. I love her music! Through her songs she has touched millions of lives. Thanks for reacting to this video Dream Team Neal!

I'm 43 years old. My sister and I were physically abused by our egg donor. We will never refer to her as our mother. She walked out on us. Abandoned us. She had mental issues and was put on medication. There's no excuse. It didn't change anything. She was in and out of our lives, whenever it was convenient for her. My dad remarried and our mom (step) treated us like we were her own. We started calling her mom shortly after we met her. They never said anything out of the way about her. They encouraged us to visit with her and we did. Just when we would get used to seeing her, she would up and leave again. It went on for years. She even moved to the same state to be around us. Of course it didn't last. Last time we heard from her was in the early 90's via a certified letter. The letter said she didn't even want us. The only reason she had us was because our father wanted kids. She said once we had kids of our own, we would understand where she was coming from. My son, almost 18 and my daughter almost 16. My sister has a son, 7 years old. And to this day I still don't understand. My kids are my life. She didn't even know we both graduated from high school. I went into the Army at age 17. My sister married her high school sweetheart August 1995. I married in December 1997. Found out she died in 2002 which is ironic considering what would have been her first grandchild was born the same year she died. All I can say is it's her loss. I'm the woman I am today, no thanks to her...

Daddy issues are not just something women suffer from. There are too many "fathers" out there who don't tell their kids they love them, that they are proud of them, take an interest in who their kids ARE. Its not hard to invest your feelings and be proud of your kids. You will be so happy when they grow up as well rounded adults who know their worth. Parents really need to stop spending more time on their phones than with their kids.
