Celine takes lows and mid belts. Though Kelly is still really good in that area for a high soprano. Kelly takes Eb5 and above. I would also give head voice to Kelly. Both have great technique up there, but Kelly's tends to be fuller and more rounded. Celine takes agility, while Kelly is more versatile. I adore both, but kelly has something special.

B4 - Tie C5 - Tie C#5 - Kelly (why is there no audio in Celine's clip) D5 - Celine (this is her NOTE 😍😍😍) Eb5 - Kelly (this is HER note 😍😍😍) E5 - Kelly (more resonance compared to Celine) F5 - Tie F#5 - Kelly G5 - Kelly G#5 - Celine (SO LONGGG) A5 - Tie Bb5 - Tie B5 - Celine C6 - Kelly Celine has 10 points and Kelly has 11 points. It's kind of a tie tbh. Celine takes mid-belts (A4-D5), Kelly takes upper belts from Eb5-G5 and everything above is mostly Celine again.

Love both. Only thing I’ll mention is a lot of Kelly’s have some digital effects on the mic, but if we don’t count that… you can tell she’s very inspired by Celine in the belting department. Kelly is insane. She’s the best of the best that we have today, and she’s currently in her prime.

This video needed to happen. Kelly is one of the last popular American singers that is as good as Celine, Whitney, and Mariah. Celine and Kelly also have similar techniques. They both rely mostly on great breath support and placement to hit their high notes, rather than mixing. They both really don’t start switching to a more heady mix until G#5. They’re honestly tied throughout their entire ranges. Kelly may have a slight edge on Celine in head voice, but Celine has an edge in low notes. Who has better belts literally just comes down to which clips you look at. Both iconic vocalists, both S-tier examples of singers.

I wouldn’t give Kelly an edge in head voice, both are full and operatic. Celine is less pitchy with her runs in head voice compared to Kelly. Kelly seems to have more power in upper belts. Celine’s are thinner. Celine has more resonance in mid belts, Celine also has superior agility in general, breath support, and lows. I’d say mostly Celine is a more well rounded vocalist other than upper belts imo.

I LOVE Kelly and I think she's one of THE BEST vocalists of this generation. However, Celine is a S-rated vocalist and Kelly is an A/A+ vocalist so that tells you everything. As incredible as Kelly is, she isn't QUITE at the level of Celine, Whitney, and Mariah, however, at least she's very close unlike other singers of this generation

there's just this magical quality in celine's voice that is practically impossible to replicate. the ringing in her resonance also gives that added oomph to her belts

This. People can be just as capable, but lack that metallic clarity and openness that Celine's belting possesses. I'm not even a Celine stan, but I gotta admit - her belts are truly incomparable. Nobody else can do that.

I appreciate the heavily underrated clip choices used for Kelly's belts, they kind of highlight the similarities between Kelly and Celine's techniques. Kelly definitely holds her own against Celine though, both iconic vocalists among their peers. Another amazing vocal battle!

I LOVE Kelly and think she's one of the greatest vocalists ever. BUT - imo comparing her to Celine is almost unfair because, to me, Celine is a SUPERSINGER - a singing machine. Her power and clarity is inhuman. Kelly is just as capable, but she still sounds like a [GREAT] human. Perhaps it's just down to anatomical differences, but Celine is another beast entirely. Just my opinion, please nobody come for me. 😂Kelly's still better than just about everyone else.

Let's make it clear both are amazing. Kelly belong up there in the same sentence as Celine, Whitney and mariah. Each has their strengths, but for me the fact that the only one who never ever used any back up track or lip synced is kelly is saying a lot. The athletes at the Olympics next month won't get medals according to their training videos.. If they cant do it when it's money time they won't be called the best, doesn't matter what crazy things they did in rehearsal.

EVERY SINGLE artist has done it... may you accept it or not... and Celine has been singing since 1981, when she started her carreer... it's not a question of being capable or not, it's a health question, if she didn't used backing track with the unbelievable amount of shows she has done in her life, she would have lost her voice way back then... from 1981 through 1999, then from 2002 to 2020 she has done shows and tours non stop... and it's not like she uses backing tracks for the entire show, 80% to 90% still live, and that's impressive... tell me about another singer who has worked as much as Celine in their carreer? your comparing singing with athletes makes zero sense, they don't practice their sports for the amount of time that Celine has sang in her entire life... Celine IS the best for all she has achieved, and also Kelly is the best for her consistency through the years. There's no need to try to belittle one to make the other look better.
