I honestly thought nothing of Kelly and Missy Elliots weight back then and I don’t think nothing of it now. But whenever I hear about Lizzo, her weight rings louder than her music to me. I know Kelly said she’s proud of her, but Lizzo does too much for me. It’s not her weight it’s her constantly talking about it, that makes her look insecure as she’s trying to convince us that she loves her body. Missy and Kelly gave us music, that was all they needed to be famous. As far as Jennifer Hudson, I feel like I never noticed her weight unless it was mentioned as well. It’s just Lizzo personality.

It’s insane how underrated she is as a singer. Whitney Houston levels of talent, arguably up there with the greatest, but she’s no where near the success she deserves

But hearing her story now I can understand why she was obese. A lot of it is childhood trauma, poverty, abuse and poor diet. Unfortunately, when your a child is when you develop the fat cells you will have the rest of your life. Thats why losing weight as an adult is almost impossible to do and maintain. That's why I hate when bm try to compare BW to others who aren't dealing w all this + racism and sexism to boot.

@Ron Isley that's odd on their independent records they don't really sound alike to me. They may have had those Bad Boy producers back in the day but so did 112 and I believe Kelly served as a reference on early Bad Boy music. While Faith can perform the lead track for the background vocals, I do believe Kelly's voice was still left in some spaces for fuller sound. Just a thought.
