if you have the time and are willing to help me out, i ask one favor: please try to not skip the ads. CMU and GT are about $50K each, so which ever school i end up choosing will be very expensive and i will have to take out loans. hopefully, this video makes a lot of money so i can help pay for college (i don't have a job rn, but i'll probably work in college)

I got waitlisted by MIT when I applied last year. Unless you REALLY like MIT (which I did, it was my top choice), I wouldn't recommend taking your place on it because I just got strung along for months (first deferred, then waitlisted) only to get rejected in the very end. They take very few applicants off of the waitlist and its not worth getting your heart broken twice.
@kellycha4 жыл бұрын
i’m going to try it anyways, i won’t be heartbroken if i don’t get in because by then, i’ll already have committed to a school, but it would be great if i do get in.
@pidayrocks22354 жыл бұрын
I'd still recommend that people go on the waitlist and try to pretend that it's no longer an option -- obviously much easier said than done.
@jjhlk67374 жыл бұрын
The MIT acceptance page is a trick. If you figure it out right it will click on to an acceptance page. If you can't figure out the trick it sends you to a rejection page. It's a built in test to see how smart you are. Pretty clever actually.

College acceptance sometimes don't make sense, but they do pay attention to scores, as well as extracurricular activities, how well you fit in with the school's vibe, and your essays. A lot of people with great scores get rejected form some colleges because they are lacking in other areas.

Education doesn’t equal intelligence
@kellycha4 жыл бұрын
lol what does that have to do with this video? Also, isn't that obvious? "Education" is learning through school, and "intelligence" is being smart/ applying your knowledge. They are not "equal"; you can go to school and get an education but still not be intelligent. However, it is highly unlikely to become intelligent without pursuing an education because you need to learn knowledge (you're not born with intelligence).

i was trying to say that when people are watching these reaction videos, they can’t compare their self and see if they have a chance of getting in/ how difficult it will be to get accepted into some schools if they don’t know their grades, test scores, and what activities they do. with stats, it makes the video go from solely entertainment, to something useful/ helpful to underclassmen.
