So here's my bad mom confessions as a mother of 3 boys. I removed batteries from particularly annoying toys and told them that the toy, was in fact, broken. Too many times to count. 😝 You can only get away with this for a limited time until they're old enough to figure it out or someone rats you out. I also told my youngest, who is considerably younger than the oldest two, that he couldn't watch Barney at our house because we didn't get that channel. We did. Honestly, I had to suffer through Barney for too many years already with the other two. I have no regrets. 😁

Growing up we lived in late 1800’s home. One day me and my sister tried to get into the attic because we heard sounds.(super dangerous if we got up there) Our parents caught us and knew we would try again so they told us the noises in the attic was our older brother “billy” who lived in there. We never tried again and my parents regretted it because we told our friends and neighbours our older brother lives in the attic. I still don’t know why they told us that and as adults now we joke about it all the time

My worst "bad" mom moment was when I let my toddler son put me in the naughty corner for cursing. It completely shifted the power balance in the house and became a never again, as he stopped minding me completely. I had to regain control from my 2 year old.

I have one!!! When my daughter was little( 3 ) she briefly had a problem with putting money in her mouth ( pennies, nickels and dimes). I caught her with a penny in her mouth so I dramatically told her she had "the penny bug" and had to lay down on the couch all day so she wouldn't get really sick and have to go to the doctor's and get a shot.Made the couch up like she was very sick and put a washcloth on her forehead 😂 It scared the heck out of her and she never put money in her mouth again, and I got a break for the day!😂😂😂

I like cheerful Kelly. The stories she read are all with horror elements. And the moral, I think, of those stories is this: People are more like kids in grown ups bodies. If we want to live like animals (chuck e) and on the other extreme like fairies and Santa or even Satan, reality doesn't allow us to. God requires us all to behave, no escape for anyone. We all have our own paths towards our own tests and trials.
