I've seen all interviews available of him on KZbin, and throughout the last 15+ years of following the band really closely, you start to eventually pick up on certain... finer details about them. He may consider her a friend, but he is clearly annoyed at her or the setting (I have no idea) at the same time. He would have never said something like "I might be a better person than you but..." or how much he wanted to go to commercials to another person. Also at the very end... his expression was of pure frustration/annoyance. Granted, maybe he allows himself to be like that and say those things to her face because of said, not exactly contradictory friendship. But still he his annoyed. He seems absurdly more comfortable in any other recent interview in the past few weeks. This lady is just too much. Like really everything about her is just so extra. He's not exactly amused by that. Any other person obsessed with Coldplay beyond the music should know I'm onto something even if I don't know the specifics. Edit: to which I add: what chemistry exactly? because if you consider this good chemistry then you would think he is in love with other interviewers. There are other clips on this channel from this same interview and still one of the main points people are making in those comment sections is how the chemistry between the two is something just out of this world. Like absolutely magical. Specifically that. That's the main talking point in here and on the other clips. That's not a discourse taking place in other interviews where he is clearly having a blast like the one in which they took some phone calls. It was amazing and nobody there was talking about chemistry because there is no point in talking about the obvious. Which begs the question: is this... some kind of internal narrative push in the comments to change people's perspectives? It's a really weird emphasis on all clips here.

OH WOW! My husband also passed away in 2012 (same as the announcer in this video) very suddenly and the song that helped me get my grief out was O (hidden track) by Coldplay! I love Kelly but I wish she’d stop interrupting! Chris was trying to say something at the end and seemed annoyed when the camera cut back to him. He’s a soft-spoken, intelligent guy and sometimes louder people drown quieter people out, which is a shame. I wanted to hear more of what he had to say.

How do I know that? not only because he is honestly smiling about it because of how goofy it is, but because... drums please: That was completely staged. For those who don't know: that voice memo was indeed supposed to go not only public, but far and beyond the scope of this program. It was officially released many days ago alongside other demos as part of the moon music release. That "oh how embarrassing! don't show that to the public please stop!" was pure theater. I'm raising valid points but whatever. More likely than not I'm just yelling at clouds here because 99% of people watching here are fans of this show and find my comments to be wildly untrue at the very least. Have a good day.

Love this interview! but I always ended up missing the end of what Chris was saying. Almost everytime Chris was speaking, Kelly interrupted him. Maybe she didn’t do that on purpose… I think she was trying to finish his sentences, and sometimes that’s a nice thing to let the other person know you’re into the conversation, but when you do it all the time it gets frustrating. In this case many times he was trying to explain things and she didn’t even let him complete the idea 🙁

Chris Martin can win almost anyone over, other than the innately ornery, with his adorable charm! 😊 I’ve never been a fan of his singing voice or music, but interestingly enjoy his songs as covers (same goes for John Legend), He’s one example of someone whose work I don’t really follow, but enjoy him immensely in interviews. The first time I “met” him was through James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke, and was instantly smitten with his personality-he’s so sweet & self-deprecating, and really funny. I watched the show when Kelly’s son was on, which was the cutest & funniest thing ever. I love when Chris said that Kelly’s son was like his bass player-handsome & quiet, and loved by the ladies (can’t remember the details, but his was a witty delivery). 😆
