I remember hearing Fix You for the first time as I was listening to the album on my way home after working at a bar. When Fix You came on, I sobbed in my driveway for over an hour relistening to it. Such a deep, beautiful song!! That guitar riff is everything! ❤

3 weeks ago I had a MRI appointment at UCSD, i told the technician that I have to imagine songs to take my mind off during the 25 minutes. He said we can play music for you, what would you like? I said Coldplay! They gave me a headset, 4 songs later, my MRI was done 😊 It made a difference between listening to music vs listening to the magnetics sounds!!! My favorite is always Fix You. It was played in the Ewen McGregor world bike ride tour THE LONG WAY ROUND, his bike was stucked in the mud in Siberia, Russia....

I highly doubt they'll stop at 12 albums. Coldplay may not release an album every couple of years but, they'll definitely make it to 16 or 17 if you ask me. It's one thing to regurgitate the same songs year after year after year until you die, but, when you're as prolific as Coldplay and as Chris said he's basically writing songs every day, I don't see how you can't want to put it on vinyl and send it out to the world.

@@larrymarshall8900 Guy Berryman, who is arguably the best bassist ever because he has the courage to be economical with his bass lines (also something of a renaissance man, which I greatly appreciate), Jonny Buckland, capable of blowing your socks off with the guitar rifts be it in their old days or current times, and of course Will Champion, doubling vocals with Chris and the amazing drummer of the group. I reckon one day we will get all four of these folks to be as well known as “John, Paul, Ringo, George”

I was one of their biggest fans until around the Mylo Xyloto album. Their music trajectory since then has just gotten worse and worse, in my opinion. I will still check out their new albums when they come out just to see what they’re doing and it just gets increasingly soulless, even though it’s always very positive. I do admire their positivity, I’ll say that. Their music got me through a lot from the early 00s to the early 10s, so I’ll always appreciate that.
