Her opinion has nothing to do with the books. It is all based on his looks, his physical appearance from the Netflix series. Regarding next season based on the feedback from Shonda Rhimes and the author they may have to give these two (Daphne and the Duke) a bigger role than expected due to fans wanting it. Shonda is pretty much swooning over the Duke as well so lets see how it goes. Hopefully it turns out well.
