My plan is going to be doing an open house at least once a week and place my branded sign everywhere in the neighborhood. People will see my signs every weekend, theyll get my postcards, and all though i dont want to do facebook i guess i have to

Cold calling doesn't entail hundreds and hundreds per day though. There no one best method, a combination of multiple methods is best. The more positive contacts, the more you become a household face and name.
