Fantastic song by Blackie, WASP have written so many classics, it's unbelievable. The Crimson Idol record should give you enough fuel to last a lifetime. His writing matured so much after "Inside the Electric Circus", it's amazing. Also, try The Headless Children, that is another special album by them. Keep on rocking, guys!

Perhaps you know them best and were turned off by their 80's stuff. Be sure to listen to their 2000's+ stuff. WASP is very unique in that they progressed and become something much larger than their early 80's work. This is coming from a guy who's generally stuck in the 80's.

One of my favorite WASP songs. Love that you did this! You have to look up what the song is about it'll give you chills. President Abraham Lincoln when he saw the casualty reports from the battle of Gettysburg, and after reading that he said, 'Tonight the Heaven's are hung in black.' Do Hallowed Ground. Blackie wrote it after 9/11.

I'm just discovering your channel, and it's looking like I'm going to have to binge watch all your reactions. 😳This is what I love seeing in KZbin reaction videos, someone progressively getting into the metal genre like she is. Clearly, you have a background in this type of music, already being familiar with similar heavy bands, and you're revisiting it all while exposing her to it along the way, which is honestly amazing to watch. First off, props to her for having such an open mind and letting the music take her on her own journey like this, because when a girlfriend of mine that wasn't in to heavy music would go through my catalog of music and see albums by bands like W.A.S.P., Cannibal Corpse, Iron Maiden, Napalm Death, Judas Priest, Slayer, Black Sabbath, etc, they'd immediately express disgust. No matter how many attempts I've made to have her listen to even one simple piece of music that I felt would be accessible to her, she'd quickly shut it down as just another devil worshipping band that one would have to have severe mental problems to enjoy. It's definitely not about pushing our favorites onto one another, but you never know what you're missing unless you give it this kind of attention at least once. I think I'm going to enjoy diving into your past videos and checking out new posts along the way. 🤘 Since I'm just getting started on your reactions, I'm not sure what other W.A.S.P. songs you may have already checked out, but if you haven't done anything from the "K.F.D." ("Kill Fuck Die") album yet, may I suggest reacting to "The Horror" in the future? Definitely one of their finest performances on a highly underrated and criminally overlooked album. This song, along with "Take Me Up" are my two favorites (three, if you're counting the reprise) from the "Dominator" album, so great choice on this one. 🤘😁🤘

"Tonight the Heavens are hung in black"..Abraham Lincoln upon hearing the casualties for the Battle of Gettysburg, hence the songs title ,song itself centres around a dying soldier at the gates of heaven and St Peter telling theres no more room because of all the killing ,verses of the song are St Peter ,and the chorus the soldier..just an fyi ..makes the song more profound if you know the meaning behind it

I know I am only one man... But I would like to present you a band that started this classical metal genre... Well they haven't actually started it... I mean Deep Purple was one of the greats that did it... But it seemed that it all started after this one band tried to put it's hand around it and I guess made it there own. The band is called Believer and there tune is called "Trilogy of Knowledge". It's the most beloved tune of theirs... But that's in my eyes... After listening to the trilogy, your ears will never ever be the same.

Still have a chewed up drumstick to this day from Wasp drummer Tony Richard's from a Wasp show at The Trubadour in Hollywood in 1983. And also a true story, me and some friends without tickets were able to get into a Sabbath with Ian Gillen concert in 1984 at the LA Forum when we saw a tall Blackie Lawless with his long jet black hair walking by himself on the outer sidewalk of the Forum, where we approached him and asked him,if he could get us inside the show through the back service entrance, just like the kid from Almost Famous. Blackie obliged and was able to get me and three other guys into the show by saying we were with him. He was a super nice guy; different from his raw meat eating and blood spitting stage persona. An aquantance of mine had lied about some tickets that he said would be waiting for us at the Forum will call window. Our luck changed when we saw Blackie walking by himself that night! Also, happy b-day Kel!
