Tip for farming the saltless. While they are spawning push them together and then square-triangle will sweep them up into the air and they land on their backs. Just push them together again if need be and do it again. Repeat until dead.

I would recommend killing the unspeakable deep as 8k salt at the start of the game is VERY useful

just a tip if you dont want to fight sodden knight you can skip him by going where u pick up a stone offering above the save point right before his boss area. its the ledge right above the dragon slaying knight. just long jump off the very edge and youll land on the higher part and not die from falling. and you will skip sodden knight.

Whips seem to suck ass, I tried a hybrid mage with the searing manacle and it was painful, did way more damage with the lvl1 staff than a lvl3 magic scaled whip.

You don't need to fight the Jester to gain access to the vertigo brand, if you enter from behind the Jester arena, you even get a "rest area" before the fight, and can get a free hit in the Jester himself.

As an extra tip, the pumpkin helmet you get where you farm the Saltless (the ones that drop the "Drowned Locket" in this guide(the ones that you use to upgrade the Balck Widow)) is an easy to include helmet in this build (good elemental defenses and weight) and is a good item to use in the fight against the Mad Alchemist (the third boss in this guide)(if you are having problems with him), in my experience you can make one more mistake while using it, and may actually help you complete more easily this guide early on, it does not shortens or slows your rolls and once you equip the gloves its imperceptible in your magic casting.

Semi-Pro Tip - if you find yourself struggling with 1st boss 3rd phase, just wack him down to 1/4 health and then 2-3 granados boom done

This is an oldish video at this point but I believe those enemies you farmed in the pumpkin area throw an item called the Flask of Defilement, an item gained from the Order of the Betrayer. Essentially they're throwable damaging grenades that increase the damage taken of whoever is hit by them. So those wraiths spamming them is really evil.

When fighting the saltless use the light heavy launch attack of the claymore, it launches them 30 feet into the air, stunlocking them and dealing massive damage. If you're hitting 2 and they land far apart you can push one closer to the other as they land and get back up. Honestly this method kind of turns them into a joke of an enemy, as long as you know where they're going to spawn and no other enemies interfere.
