I love the idea of a sleep audit. I find in the summer I naturally wake up early but now that it is fall I find I want to wake up later. I changed my alarm to 30min later last week and I feel SO MUCH BETTER.

#12 is the sh*t. I realized I've been watching so much fitness content that I don't want to exercise at all because I want every workout to be "optimal". The most important things are that I get moving and listen to my body. Trying to do everything at once has lead to burnout and injury, and frankly, emotional shutdown. I'd rather make sure I bike to and from work every day and do pilates and weight training occasionally than burnout trying to do a perfect routine. I want happiness in my life again, not pain and boredom. Here's to finding balance again:).
@abileachcoachingАй бұрын
literally as a trainer i feel the same. its my job to know the optimal things but i dont always apply that to myself because it leads to overthinking and not listening to your body! thats so awesome that you have found the things that make you happy :)

Something that I like to do instead of new years goals are seasonal goals. My life looks different throughout the entire year so I go with the flow and make my new years’ “goal(s)” more of a “focus.” “What do I want to focus on this year?”And some of my seasonal goals mirror my areas of focus and personal values that I want to be more intentional about that year. (Note: Just make sure it is a value you truly hold and not one imposed on you by others or solely for external validation you may not feel as fulfilled as you thought when you accomplished it which sucks lol)
@KelseyAlexandreaАй бұрын
I heard recently about the 12 week year and it's changed everything for me. I found that I kind of skimped on everything for the first half of the year because "I have time to get it done" then got super stressed and rushed later in the year. Basically the concept is the same as this video, you find your goals and assign them to a quarter of the year (which could totally be seasons!) And then you have 12 weeks to get it done! I got so many goals done this year because I did it that way. Seems weird to put off a goal you think is important until the winter, since that's so far away! But the truth is, if I tried to do them all at once, I would get overwhelmed and do none of them. Better later than never. Haha

One thing that has been helping me to stop endlessly online shopping is to make a list of all the things i want to purchase and specifically setting aside money for each item, instead of impulse spending. It make me think over the course of weeks if i truly want that thing. Also, i try to avoid online shopping because its like opening presents it become addictive, i find myself just buying stuff to open it. Its less addictive in person.

#12 is one I need to watch. Reviewing the useful habits is great, but no, I don’t need another book. In fact, I find a periodic review of the stuff I consider foundational in my depression recovery efforts does more good than anything else, but I do need to keep it brief. Review, apply what I know to my daily activities and just keep going. My latest level up involves increasing my fitness intensity. Was building a new baseline, but now it’s time to expand things a bit more, without overdoing it. So far so good, temps are cooling so walking is a simple add on. Rainy? Bring on rope flow, rebounding and kb swings when I need a bit extra. Thanks again, Keltie!

healthy habits focus on balance and well-being. Starting the day with a nutritious breakfast, regular exercise, and spending time outdoors are key. Canadians prioritize fresh, local foods and hydration, especially in extreme weather. Mental health is also emphasized, with a focus on disconnecting from technology and enjoying nature. Overall, it’s about maintaining a balanced, active lifestyle.

The fall vibes are immaculate on this video. Exactly what I needed! Yes please for winter (and spring and summer)! I'm not sure if you've mentioned before and I forgot (or I haven't seen the video you've talked about this in), but since you enjoy being in/around water so much, is there a reason why haven't gotten into/done videos on swimming or other water related fitness activities? Because my first thought was same which is why I love swimming and scuba diving. Also in season fruits and veggies will vary a lot depending on where in the world you are and even differs state to state in the US, but a quick google search usually turns up the answer. Also, reminder about spf...oof, I definitely brought it and didn't feel like putting it on, which is absolutely something I need to work on (not for hands, though that too, but for face).

A note about vitamin D from the sun- the sun has to be high enough in the sky (there are apps/websites where you can check your location but generally think your shadow must be shorter than you are tall) so you’re not getting vitamin d on your morning walks, or anytime of day in the winter unless you’re practically in the tropics.

Those are some really good healthy habits Keltie. Thanks for the advice. About skin picking; I've picked a few scabs, I've picked my nose on occasion(in-private of course). And maybe a pimple or two or three. Looking forward to the autumn season, I don't anticipate getting a scabs. I can pretty much guarantee I'll get a booger in my nose this Fall which will prompt me to pick it out. I'll probably get a pimple as well, but I've learned not to pick and/or pop them. Oh yes, I do find myself picking at my teeth. Those damn sesame seeds and poppy seeds on bagels make my pinky-finger go right in there. It seems to cause my dates to end rather early. Hmmm😁
