My brother, doing business is hard in South Africa for Africans. We don't get funding or much support, the red tapes are at every turn. Our economy is still designed to favour Europeans. We still have a long way to go and still need to fix a lot including finding leaders who will serve the people.

They say south africans hate other Africans but your Uber driver vulumuzi has been here in SA as a driver for many years and Gatsheni is one of the best goat farmers in SA. He's thriving because SA gave him a lifeline and the guy genuinely love this country. Yet they call us afrophobic because we fight against illegallity committed by our fellow African brothers and if defending our country from this nonsense is xenophobic they we're proudly so.
@mintstudiodesign2 ай бұрын
True.
@BatsiraiMusuka2 ай бұрын
We wish, you’d talk more about the positive interactions with fellow Afrikans. I think it’s more about what section of your social media population is most vocal and what they are saying. If you go on twitter, and have never been to South Africa you’d be mistaken to think it’s extremely afrophobic (which is far from the truth). We need more of the normal South Africans to speak up (especially about positive stories that they see in their Afrikan siblings). I was just on twitter now thinking to myself I have seen more of Miss Nigeria contestants than even my own country’s (or South Africa’s contestants)… and all of the tweets were severely dehumanizing. It’s at times like these l wonder what a White person thinks of us as the Black Afrikan collective? Can l actually blame some of them when they say we are “bad”? And l say all this, not to say there are no foreigners doing negative things.
@G-ManWaseKasiInManchester2 ай бұрын
@@BatsiraiMusuka Bro, social media's algorithm is controlled by the West. So they're making sure that you only see the bad stuff just like they do with traditional media. Don't fall for it, both Nigerians and South Africans are being played by this but it's okay, those who know know. SA has always been the best country in Africa because of our true freedom. And the fact that we have white people running somethings is actually not that bad - it's a pity that it's so unequal and yes full liberation would be better but however, all in good time. I love other countries too though like Morroco, Rwanda, Egypt, Nigeria, Cape Verde, Zim, Algeria, Ghana, Bots, Tanzania etc very beautiful as well, I do believe the competition is very tight with the top 5 but the laws of other countries are a bit oppressive to their own people. I'm not talking white supremacy either, and I'm well aware of the one happening to poor SAns as well. We shouldn't be led by soldiers bro - not fair, those broes are heartless.
@BatsiraiMusuka2 ай бұрын
@@G-ManWaseKasiInManchester exactly! It’s unfortunate that most people on Social Media do not realize that the algorithm is primed to feed you visceral content (to keep you glued… to make money for a small handful of people). If you look at how many owners of these platforms are, the number employed and how many are shareholders… then juxtapose it to how many people are interacting on there. It’s economies of scale… and you are the product. May our people become more of critical thinkers and not the continent that failed to stand up.
@G-ManWaseKasiInManchester2 ай бұрын
@@BatsiraiMusuka We will wake up, a lot have heard the truth through these exchanges of harsh insults. They’ll be in denial for some time but they get the message. That SA should be fighting their government to liberate them. Nigerians are being forced to love themselves enough to unite and fight their government for the better of their whole population while pursuing their successes everywhere else. I think that’s the main message for a lot of countries as well because once we’re all stable and truly free from neocolonialism - no one will be this angry, defensive, jealous, greedy etc we will accommodate each other peacefully just like Europeans.

Let's not forget that South Africa was colonized, and the media across Africa plays a significant role in promoting Western cultural values, leading to the adoption of Westernized behaviors. It's essential to move beyond stereotypes and recognize that associating Africa with poverty is inaccurate. Do you know that those countries you deem as the true African experience are how they are because of exploitation, corruption, and economic struggles. Many of you have do not know the struggles of lacking basic needs such as clean water, education, and healthcare, or the restrictions on freedom of speech and sexuality. It's heartbreaking. I hope for a future where Africa can rise and thrive as it deserves to.
