Take it easy bro. The Zim business environment has a number of dynamics. There is more to it than what you are hearing here. If possible take 2/3 months break and come home visit a number of farmers, the successful ones and the unsuccessful ones. Get both sides of the coin. Understand where exactly the money is made. Choose farming model that best suits your situation. Above all, dont burn bridges. I would advise you come with a fallback plan. Have an alternative continuous source of income to sustain you till your cattle project starts to make profit. With careful planning and understanding of the zim business environment, yes you can make it. But if yu just nose dive into it, munovenga zimbabwe kweupengu hwese. Wish you the best.

For a person like me who have a strong rural background and is leaving abroad I’m watching this with a wide smile because I’m coming home soon and explode because I have unfinished business in the area of farming. I had 3 projects that didn’t work out well due to some economic reasons but I’m more mature now and I have gained more patience along the journey…..I’m coming home.

Thanks for the videos brother. I think the greatest obstacle that obstructs working together for us as Zimboz comes from the culture of our schooling system which emphasizes kids to have the "NUMBER 1" position on their class exams reports. Our education system needs to change its focus on delivering abstract theories with no place for implementation when people are out of the schooling system. Perhaps if we learn the following in our curriculum, the next generations will be collaborative and more productive (The list is not exhaustive): 1. Critical thinking 2. Negotiation skills 3. Creativity 4. Analytical reasoning 5. Innovation 6. Resilience 7. Decision making 8. Collaboration 9. Active listening 10. Problem solving 11. Interpersonal Communication

Brilliantly put, even in Kenya where I come from, the problem is failure to see the education system was created to divide. It upholds those who make it to university based on the final form four exam while at the same time throws invectives or looks down upon those who didn't make it to the university. I put a comment on an article on national examinations and I was very much for doing away with them because they are a meaningless competition. If someone wants to be a doctor, let them sit an interview exam set by the faculty of medicine and also interview the candidates to gauge how passionate they are in taking up the course. Also the curriculum needs to work for Africans. Africans by default are collaborative people, we do not belong to this foreign rat race of trying to compete to keep up with the Jones'
