Hello, just a Tip. I have tried 3 points on one pyramid, white one. You can access the 3 levels of white tiles and choose Hand of God, next night phase I rise white pyramid for free and get my firs VP, then buy Priest of Amon, get 5 free prayer points per night phase, then I buy red or blue pyramid and let it rise for free every night phase and get a lot of neverending prayer points. Meanwhile battle and do the other stuff and get VP tails and Act of God for more action tokens. With white pyramid at max and the best tiles you get points to buy and play no matter the expenses, in a few turns all your pyramids are at 4 just for free, 3 automatic VPs and can have a devastating power.- Thanks for the vid, it helped me to decide and buy the game

It could be a cool strategy, but you're not allowed to start with a single level-3 pyramid. It's either 2-1-0 or 1-1-1...

32:07 - To the best of my knowledge, you can only put your new recruits in your own three city sections (and you can put them there even if enemy troops are on the space... creating a conflict).

24:40 You're forgetting to count Jen's Defense! power, which gives her an extra +1 Strength while defending. You need the +4 battle card to guarantee a victory (not considering a potential +strength DI card). (Ah, but you caught this at the end.) 28:20 There might be some confusion here about battle VP. You only get battle VP as the attacker, not as the defender. Even if you win as defender, you don't get any VP (unless you have a specific blue power tile). 32:00 You can only ever recruit into your own city.

Just started watching, but during your quick synopsis you say that occupying 2 temples at any time will earn you a permanent victory point. Those points are only awarded at the end of the Day phase, once everyone has used all 5 workers. Thanks for doing the run through!

I didn't understand why it is a problem that the Slavery ability/tile is white. Is it because white tiles in the game are supposed to be devine/light, while red are evil? (blue?)

cartoon80s90s no, it was just odd to constantly refer to "white power" throughout the game, and then it turns out that one of the white powers is slavery. i think they could have chosen a better name, but that's just me :)

+cartoon80s90s Because in America, "White Power" is associated with White supremacy. It's a race thing, regarding slavery of African Americans in U.S history. Even though every race in history has owned slaves, sometimes much more with harsher conditions. But "White Power" has a special connotation in American culture.

For what it is worth, you could have left 1 guy behind and taken the other 4 with the Beetle so you've still got the VP and prayer bonuses of the Temple you moved out of. Also, you forgot to give the +1 Defense bonus for the card she bought.

taking a blue lvl 2 pyramid to start with, give you acces to the elephant witch is one of the best animals in the game and its cheap. To bad you guy's don't like this sort of games, because it's a good wargame and not to difficult. Lot's of strategy's to be used because of the power tiles. With more players it gets even more tactical.

I actually think the Elephant is just mediocre. The Scarab is incredible though, and the Scorpion can be devastating if played well.

Eric Luong You can't get a better cheap animal from the start of the game then the elephant.

Why limit "red, white, and blue" references to the US? France, Russia, Australia, the UK, the Netherlands, Liberia, Cuba, Norway, and many other countries' flags consist of red, white, and blue too.
