sounds to me like it's the speed that makes your flanger sound different from the KPA

I think that’s part of it. I also discovered the loop was driving the pedals too hard. I’ve turned down the output of the amps and the pedals are sounding cleaner.

You didn't switch on Pure Tuning on the Kemper Octaver which removes the warble when playing multiple strings. Watch the Bill Ruppert Kemper videos, he demos it.

@@aphekrecordingstudio4274 Well, you might be hearing miniscule differences compared to your vintage analog pedals, without spending much time tweaking the Kemper and they're sounding very close. Put them in a recorded mix or live situation and they'll be close to indistinguishable. So how do we guitarists calculate value?...afterall we really are some of the most spoiled humans on earth. 😉 $1200 gets us maybe eight pretty good FX pedals, and that excludes Strymons, etc. The Kemper has dozens and dozens of superb FX, no one even talks about stuff like the amazing Bit Shapers, and other stuff that comes from Kempers Access Virus technology. So when some guitarists say the Kempers expensive, are they really thinking clearly...one could say the FX is worth the price on its own. IMO

@@guitartoneSA I wasn’t suggesting people go out and buy a bunch of pedals. I just wanted to know if there was a difference? There’s more to it than just the sound, which I talk about in part 2, which should be up tomorrow.
