Going to look at the ‘lead dress’ and attempt to get rid of the parasitic oscillations, from poor wiring, in the next video too. There are still some ugliness in the amps performance, that shouldn’t be there.

Great video overall and very illustrative, my favourite speaker overall is the WGS G10C/S, but all the others sounded great also. Otherwise, it's a bit of a surprise to me that most people hadn't realised that the Supro sound is exactly the same as the Blackface/Silverface one, the only thing that changes apart from the circuits, are that Supro amps have a cabinet that doesn't emphasises too much the high mids and that the tremolo and the reverb also are different from the Fenders.

Thanks for your videos. You are like the definitive historian on the Ibanez Musician bass and I can't tell you how much I loved all your videos and history lesson on it all. Thanks SO much for sharing. I did have one question. What are the nut widths? Are all the 4-strings the same? I have seen 38mm as well as 42mm and even 39mm. Thanks again.

Thanks. I don’t have measurements, but they varied in width. My MC888s are narrower, as is the MC2940 fretless. Back shapes varied even more though. No two of my necks feel the same. Definitely hand shaped.

well, there's a great video that shows clearly the difference a speaker makes to the tone of an amp. In your comment regards cabs, if it were a closed back cab, i think it would make a lot more change to tone of each speaker. a gold and green back 10" twin cab would be nice to hear, though maybe unmatched in volume.

@stevegardiner8473Ай бұрын
Well you only have to look at the waveforms to see how different the Kemper sound is, compared to the real amp. I use and love my Kemper but, it does now seem to be the less accurate at profiling/capturing. Having said that, I'm more than happy with the tones I use with my KPA.
@aphekrecordingstudio4274Ай бұрын
Being accurate isn’t essential for sounding good. I usually think of the Kemper as having the essence of the amp and creating something similar, but new.
@stevegardiner8473Ай бұрын
@@aphekrecordingstudio4274 I totally agree. And I'm more than happy with the tones I get from my Kemper. It effortlessly copes with the requirements I have (mostly play classic rock style covers), and it was an absolute game changer when it was released. I just think that we've now seen profiling/capturing/cloning technology advance quite a bit since the KPA was released. ToneX in particular seems very impressive. I think IK Media could/would claim a huge piece of Kemper and QC's market if they produced an all-in one unit along the lines of Kemper Stage or Quad Cortex. But I'm in no hurry to move away from Kemper though. It does still sound fantastic, and still gets sporadic but useful updates, and does everything I need it to.

Good stuff sir, I enjoy those videos. Very systematic. The tonex seems pretty impressive. I have had a kemper for about 18 months and I really enjoy it. I recently got a Friedman little sister 20 watt head and and 1x12 Friedman cab, but so far I seem to prefer the kemper !! I know that’s crazy but I play at low volume at home, so maybe the Friedman just needs more volume to shine. Regardless I’m sending it back from a refund and sticking to the kemper. It’s hard to beat for what I’m doing. Maybe I’ll try and tonex at some point. Cheers
@aphekrecordingstudio4274Ай бұрын
