Just wondering if there's a profile for the Fender SuperSonic, both clean and lead channels. If that one's worth it, that would instantly pay off the price of the Kemper, since their costs are similar... Great video by the way, I'm genuinely intrigued by the clean sounds and delays especially.

I actually like the aesthetics and I imagine the interface and display probably works just fine on a practical level.I prefer it to a unit flashing with what looks like disco clown lights. If you have great set of amp profiles in the Kemper (such as Friedman, 5150, Cornford, Diezel etc) and add a boost in front, you don't even need to use one of their virtual overdrives.

It can sound like the toaster or the rack sounds, but the factory presets are just a starting point to have an idea. It blows you away when you find the right amp/cab combination and when you have experience in tweaking this monster. I don't need the floor one because I already own a toaster and a remote but many of the user had the wish to get a floor one. It's a cool addition to the product line. My point is also the small display, I don't need disco colors too but I need good glasses to see what is signed on that display because I am not a Hobbit, I am 1.93 meter tall😀😀😀😀Next is the monitor. Cheap monitor, shitty sound, easy as it is. It sounds ok with a yamaha dxr but it sounds way better and not boxi with many other frfr if you want to play with frfr on stage. I can't understand people who buy high end equipment like the kpa and play it over a 300-400€ low budget cab. Not logical. Hear this monster over some genelecs in a studio, I bet you wont stop playing. Hear it over some good good monitors and use also the main outs to foh in the rehearsalroom as a combination. That's guitar heaven. I checked fractal, helix and so on, nothing came in the ballpark of the kempersound, fact is fact. Time is changing know, the old priests of the tube amp have a real problem. Guys from a caliber Knopfler up to Rammstein are using what?? Yes, kpa.

I think that the choice not to integrate a kemper pedal is rather judicious than esthetic you do not risk to break the day which will break in full concert and ridicule you in full scenic performance, limit the artifices of the kind touch screen, or colorful, but come to the essential it is the sound What does kemper release before everything?

Kemper gets super shrill high mid focus that makes high gain amps pick attack feel like and ice pick in your ear. I have a KPA and it's a constant battle.

Chad Boston you can play thru a guitar cab with power amp and turn off the cab block. I do this (and it’s how most DI or Direct profiles are meant to played). Just a heads up, any time this little unit isn’t sounding as good as you think it should, there’s always an option to make it sound the way you’d prefer, usually without buying any extra gear. It’s just a matter of a few adjusted parameters and/or global input/output settings adjustments. Enjoy! I’m loving mine so far, sounds great through my Marshall 1960vintage w/Seymour Duncan Powerstage, my KRK monitors, and my Audio Technica headphone monitors.. I use different settings for all of them, but it’s super easy to dial once you have the settings saved.

Cleans sound good but Kemper gain just doesn't work for me. Sounds terribly like a red bean/spider amp. I'm quite certain I could blind AB and pick the Kemper reliably. I'm holding out for the next Fractal Floor modeler. Edit: I'm wondering if the IR in use just wasn't to my taste. Playing with my new fractal says a lot about how much an IR can shape tone.

The clean tones on this vid are nice. But the distorted tones sound very much like older style, amp sim plug-ins. I am surprised that there is so much digital fizziness to these tones. Maybe it is just the patches that are demoed on this video? It reminds me of playing through GuitarRig 2 years ago. Even newer generation amp sim software is sounding better than this hardware for distortion tones. I do like the Kemper shimmer presets-- sounds very nice. I'll have to hunt around KZbin for more Kemper Stage sound examples to get a better idea of it's distorted tones it is capable of (With the Covid virus, music stores aren't allowing people to spend too much time in the shops or be hands-on with gear). I am also disappointed that this unit doesn't come with a built-in expression pedal and a better display. The display size would be a challenge to read on stage. Why the heck did Kemper choose a mono-chrome display? Makes no sense at all. I really WANT to like this product, but so far I am very disappointed. It is like they didn't do any hardware upgrades from the Kemper Profiler heads, just ported it into a floor unit. What a shame.

I own a axefx8 and the effects are way superior and amps and editor are way ahead of helix The fractal has the editor You can build amps with the Axefx the Kemper is the profiler and does sound better of a chosen profiled amp (although I do think that when you start to alter a profile The start to sound slightly off ! What everyone wants is a great editor all the scribble strips helix layout and expression pedal with the Axefx amp building and amp profiling of the Kemper Lol I dream on !!!

The one thing Kemper needs to work on is drive tones. I typically run a ts9 externally before my kemper. But if you do that you actually some insane tone!

If you use a profile that does not sound good, choose another one. The Kemper is not a modeler! It is a Profiler. I have never heard anything coming so close to the 72 Fender Super Reverb I had. Or my Marshall Bluesbreaker. Or the 64 AC30 I am using from time to time. Look at all the Michael Britt Profiles out there that are killer sounding!

There are some great drives from studio profiles available. These are just kemper presets with no tweaking. Giving the amp tweaks to suit the guitar ur playing makes a night and day difference

I suspect there is no comparison. All reviews I've seen of the Mooer ge300 tend not to really comment on the quality of the sound, but rather focus on how many different effects are available. The reviewers are giving a subtle message, I think.

I thought Kemper had better overdrive sounds, they sound really bland and "2D" to me, clean sounds are great though I have a Helix LT and I think my drive sounds are better than this, I did spend some months on them though as all the stock patches sounds like digital-raspiness-crap

Jim R These are just stock presets. The Kemper has amazing drive and distortion. Just have to set it up right. I have some Top Jimi profiles that would blow your mind how smooth the drive is
