@@misanthropist3Do you know how he feels inside? Are you a close friend or family member? His shrink? His cat? Their are plenty of people who seem to have it all and they still wind up overdosing on drugs or committing suicide. Or were their deaths all faked and they were all actually grifting?

@diorsse4 ай бұрын
@@misanthropist3 wait until you realize depression is not just a quirky thing one can turn on and off; it arises because of a chemical imbalance in the brain. if you look at his interviews from the '80s you'd be able to understand he isn't faking it. anyone can suffer from depression, it isn't unique to ugly or poor people, and the fact that you think that shows more on your character than anyone else.

This is what bothers me when people call someone a get off my lawn old man for saying modern things suck. It's purely become marketing as Morrissey said. Doesn't mean people can't enjoy modern music or that marketing was never part of the industry, but it seems clear to me that artistry has been much less prioritized.

Older Artists who shit on younger acts today need to understand that today's music industry has basically no use for talented singers/musicians over the age of about 25 because they're selling image, not music. If the 30 year old version of peak Michael Jackson (The Bad world tour) existed today, he'd be called skibidi boomer by Gen Z for being old having instrumentalists on stage and if he didnt have 24/7 nonstop idiotic tiktoks posting all the time about his persona life no one would care. Regardless of the amazing songs.

The song she sang on Top of the Pops was a huge indie hit but mainstream radio would not play the song and tv would not sing the song on live tv because it was considered too controversial but it was allowed to be put on tv with her singing because she had a clean image, proving the point he is making just now.
