It just shows that Terry and Ken are on par in fame level, Mai and Chunli are on par in fame level, Street Fighter is equivalent to Fatal Fury at best. That means Capcom has no fighting game on par with The King of Fighters. They did try to match Ryu to Kyo but in my opinion that was kind of forced, and they didnt have anyone to match Iori at all.

whoa, i wouldn't go that far. i would still have fatal fury/garou and art of fighting characters, but i'd have a limited number of characters from those franchises so that other SNK fighters can have some representation on the roster for a change. from the fatal fury side i would have richard myer in the same team as rock howard while blue mary and gato would be in a team with garou terry. from the art of fighting side i would have a team comprising of AoF 3 characters. those would be sinclair, wang koh san and lenny creston. jin fu ha would be in a team with king in her '13 outfit and ryo sakazaki with his blonde hair but with a beard and wearing a dark grey/black Gi. team mafia would have mr big, jack turner and john crawley while the south town team that was DLC in season 1 of kof 15 will have geese, billy and yamazaki. tung fu rue and ryuhaku todoh would be in a masters team led by saisyu kusanagi, while wyler from art of fighting 3 would be in a team with krauser and shin shishioh; and kasumi todoh would be in a women's team comprising of carol from savage reign and athena asamiya. buriki one and fighters history would have representation as would maximum impact and the EX series. makoto mizuguchi would be in a team with mui mui and gai tendo, while silber would be in a team with xanadu and ron. luise meyrink would team up with the meira brothers, lien neville would be in an assassins team alongside duolon and oswald, mignon beart would be in a team with nadj and a new female fighter weilding pink/magenta/rose/lilac/peach flames and have skin like data from star trek: next generation and the physique of a female WWE wrestler or a female gladiator from the 90s US/UK shows and personality of a pop star. moe habana would join daimon and benimaru in one team while chizuru would have reiji and shingo in her team. miu and jun would team up with dolores, while xiao lon and kukri would team up with iori. zarina would form a team with king of dinosaurs and mian, while sylvie paula paula would join angel and krohnen in a team. jivmata would join rugal and igniz in a team, while vice and mature would team up with goenitz. the K' team will be the same as in KoFs 11, 13 and 14, shen woo would join ash crimson and elizabeth blanctorche in their team while isla joins shun'ei and meitenkun; and fio joins ralf and clark in team ikari slug; and adelheid joins heidern and whip in their team; and krizalid teams up with diana and foxy. there would be the return of the american sports team as well as mukai and shion joined by botan. there would be team hizouku with lin leading the team and sai and ruan in the team; as well as the awakened hakkeshu team comprising of orochi versions of yashiro, shermie and chris. this in all would be the base roster for king of fighters 16, 34 base teams and kyo kusanagi and antonov being single entrants. this would not be too much like 98 or 2002.
