In the clip taken from the Ken Ham and Bill Nye debate at Answers in Genesis, Ken Ham gives his opening argument as to why he believes the Creation Science Model is a viable scientific origin of the Earth. Ken Ham and Bill Nye disagree on the Earth's origins. Ken believe the God of the Bible created everything we see in creation while Bill believes in evolution and the Big Bang are the cause.

That had to be purposeful, he seems smart enough to identify a dishonest argument and yet this is full of them, such as finding an example of a technologies development being dependent on evolution, there completely unrelated, and other scientists who believe in creationism somehow being credible evidence of anything.... In the beginning man created God...... that's when it all went wrong! Exodus 21:20-21 “And if a man beats his male or female servant with a rod, so that he dies under his hand, he shall surely be punished. Notwithstanding, if he remains alive a day or two, he shall not be punished; for he is his property. Such an amazing God!! Praise the Flying Spaghetti Monster!

Exodus 21:20-21 was the only law on earth at the time which limited the slave master's power over their own slaves. (Which is unprecedented in the ancient world). It was the only law in existence at the time which punished the slave master for murdering their slaves. In this context, beating a slave without death resulting was considered as a disciplinary matter, not a homicidal one. So, if a slave master disciplines their slave (by beating them), the authorities had no right to seize that slave for themselves.

@Nickisgodly3781 10 ай бұрын
@@inquisitive_stranger I agree, it is horrific. God created a perfect world where all men were free and God called it very good. (Gen. 1:31) But instead of being thankful, man chose sin and brought the slavery of sin and death into the world. Slavery came about because of sin. Sinful man invented slavery, not God. And God allows slavery in the world (even today) so that we might see the hideous evil and consequences of our sin nature and seek for a Perfect Savior. (Rom. 3:9-23) God allows man to suffer for the consequences of his actions. And God would have been perfectly just to let man eternally destroy himself with his own sin and self-imposed slavery, but instead God gave His only begotten Son Jesus, as a perfect sin sacrifice for you and me. (So that we might be free from the eternal hell we deserve) Heb. 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: Rom. 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 1John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. Rom. 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Rom. 5:6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 2Pet. 3:9 The Lord is... not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Our sin nature (man's inherently corrupt moral nature) is the cruelest of slave masters, but Jesus Christ the GodMan, God Himself [God in the flesh, fully man and fully God] (John 1:1, 10:30, 14:9) died on the cross to give His blood a ransom for you and me so that we would be free from the slavery of sin and the eternal hell we deserve. John 8:34-36 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. Mark 10:45 For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. John 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

No, the bible doesn’t make sense at all. That’s why there’s about 1,000 different denominations of Christianity, bickering and disagreeing with one another. Science pushes people away from a god, not proves it. Science and religion are not even remotely 2 halves of the same coin.
@adamogilvie6951
@adamogilvie6951 Жыл бұрын
@2l84 me These denominations you are referring to, i.e., Roman catholicism, Mormonism, etc, are not Christian. As much as they like to pretend to be. True Christianity is a relationship and not a religion. You have a skewed world view as to what Christianity truly is. I do not look to the Bible as a means of religion but instead a means of salvation. You say the Bible makes no sense? That's fine. Yet, I say to you that the only reason the Bible makes no sense to you is because you do not read it in context. I find so many non-believers will pull scripture verses out of the bible and use it against the Bible without any context or understanding of said scriptures. I love science too. However, even science is starting to point to the fact that, ultimately, there is a creator. God. Something can not come from nothing. Man is not being pushed back from God by science, but instead man is pushed back from the truth of God by religion. All religion does is divide and cause chaos. Embrace God, do not embrace religion. Embrace what is right in front of you. You believe in science right? Then look to all the scientific laws and rules that govern all things in the universe and on earth. These are things that simply would not manifest by chance. Man indeed has found God by science and mathematics, yet they suppress it because man himself thinks he is God. It is like man can not stand to be thought of as lesser than the apex of everything, either that or of the inevitability of judgement is something people simply do not want to think about happening. However ignoring it is not going to make it go away. Open your eyes. And don't give me that evolutionary nonsense either. It is nothing more than an unfounded theory. There is no empirical proof that evolution has happened. Evolution has never been observed in the past, nor is it being observed now. God bless you, my friend. Glory to God!!!
@dentaylor5412
@dentaylor5412 Жыл бұрын
Science is just a tool used to observe the world around us. At no point in the scientific method does it have the ability to prove that god exists (or disprove for that matter) as it relies on things that can be observed around us through tried and tested empirical method. There is no empirical method for proving God. Using the “It must be made by an intelligent designer” argument doesn’t work because that requires a leap of faith, as there’s no ways to test whether God exists, and nothing to form the comparison with to find an absolute, or thereabouts, answer.
