I'm trying to locate a "Ken Scott & Orchestra" who did record recordings in the 1950's. Could you help me?

Crime Of The Century is a masterpiece, thanks Ken for the brilliant production

The raw recording of Supertramp is stunning. The drum sound and everything is just fabulous. Thats why i went to work at Trident as a T-boy

A wonderful interview. Who is the host? I love that he lets his guest speak with very little interruption. I wish all hosts worked this way.
@TheWriter863 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. The other hosts should take notes on this interview.

The host does a great job of letting Ken actually speak and he looks much more like he's paying close attention than bored. I can definitely see this interview being way worse if the host didn't shut up.

George Harrison has always been my favorite Beatle too for the same reasons Ken explains. He was known for his wicked sense of humor and humbleness when it came to celebrity. I just wished he would have stopped smoking, he might still be here today.

Mr Scott wrote the very good book « Abbey Road to Ziggy Stardust »

Beatles song at start he is talking about is 'Glass Onion'

Thank you! I kept rewinding trying to find where I’d missed what song they were talking about.

@Green Toastr I guess on the day they played the song but YT copyright strikes meant they had to cut it from this upload. All music is linked in the description with timestamps

What Beatles song were they referring to right at the beginning? If I missed it, sorry. I listened twice for it lol

What Beatles track was he referring to at the very beginning?

I can't believe the interviewer didn't clarify. I rewinded it 5 times, and thought, "WHAT?"

Clever person ;) listen to the Q & A section. Scott is so right about the whole thing.

For anyone wondering what the “mistake” is…. Reference the first “blap blap” at the beginning of the song with the one at 1:20 on the following: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aKW2eo2Cqqh-i6s

I listened to Glass Onion (after watching this) and paid close attention to the part after the recorders, and I didn’t hear the missed snare part.

Is he talking about glass onion?I was trying to figure out what song but they never mentioned it...
@sixtyaffairs2 жыл бұрын
In Glass Onion they overdubbed Ringos Snare Claps ( blap blap at the beginning ) but after the String Section ( Oh Yeah... ) they had to record the flutes and deleted some of the overdubbed Snares , so there was only one recorded Snare here. I never heard that as a fault. ;-)

Agree with all the comments about the interviewer. Looks like he’s just shot up some ‘H’. Maybe he could do with a ‘Red Bull’ to wake him up? It must be tiring to affect the bored hipster persona all day...

Because of his association with Bowie/Ziggy, I always pictured Ken looking like someone from the Mos Eisley cantina, but turns out he looks more like George Lucas. Groovy guy, though.

I know right, what is it with all these dour low-T men? Just become accountants and leave the expressive stuff to those who do, I just want a drunk Jim Morrison to fly in a beat some life into them, especially that half-dead host

He was quiet, he didn't interrupt, idc if he's a puritan or not!

I love Ken - massively creative and open. Interviewer looked out of place though. How were true audience chosen? They seem to have very few questions, few about mixing....

The host seems completely bored. Interesting since these are some of the most legendary albums ever made.

Shame the interviewer doesn't have a personality, Ken looks uncomfortable.

Interviewer has zero stage presence, but Ken didn't seem to be affected. Plenty of stories.
